Got mine on black sharkskin at the moment:
The included rubber is too long for my wrist. I've cut it to length, but I don't find it stabilises the watch enough for me (probably due to small wrists).
Having had this for a day or two, I can see that this is one that is going to have a few strap changes. Example photos here, if you please.
I've had both of the retro rubbers on it:
as well as one of Eddie's 'other' new rubbers:
I have also tried a Di-Modell Jumbo in brown, but I find it hard to settle on leather straps on dive watches. (Sorry no photo of that one - but Ben265's shot of the same combo looks great.)

That sharkskin looks neat. I know what you mean about the 'stabilising' - it is a heavy watch head. Mine is on a NATO at the moment.
that looks right nice choice Dave :thumbright:Originally Posted by Dave E

Thanks, guys. The black with contrast stitching seems to suit it nicely, you can see it a touch better here:
I'm thinking that after Christmas I might try a dark brown Hirsch Liberty. I've been using one on my Breitling SO and really like the effect. Might work well here in a retro way.

I went looking for a black sharkskin today. No luck I'll have to order on from On-line.
Personally, after having worn mine on the dark brown Jumbo Friday and part of Saturday, I came back to the original black rubber. I think black strap will suit better and the sharkskin seems a good alternative, I may try to find one.
In the meantime I will alternate between black rubber and the Jumbo (mainly because this one looks better when wearing a suit)
About the Hirsh Liberty, if you have a small wrist, be careful it is a bit longer than the Jumbo.
I know the Liberty is a long strap, and I do have a small wrist. The thickness means it eats up the length a bit below the wrist, though.
The black sharkskin on mine is from Don Ginsler, I've got them in a couple of sizes on different watches (it's my strap of choice on my DA36, for instance).

I have just put mine on an old brown Liberty I have. It looks good - better than the Jumbo IMHO, but I still have a problem with leather on divers.
No time for a proper photo now but this gives an idea:
Nice one, quoll, that's exactly the combo I want to try!
I've also had mine on a polished lumpy (which I like) and a Swiss rubber on deployant (like the ones Don Ginsler and RLT both sell, they're like Oris straps), which is also good. Normally I'd try a NATO, but it's tall enough already thanks!

Looks good on that brown Hirsch Quoll - I like that :)
Rod
Looks great on the Liberty Quoll, I may buy one but then I'll need to punch an extra hole
That last shot looks the business. However, I like the holed black rubber also.
NATO
I thought it looked pretty good on one of these.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
That's not bad at all, Eddie!

I've had mine on a Gasgasbones black, thick leather since it arrived...
.
I'd like to try it on a Lonestar mesh or a Hirsch Trieste, both of which,
I feel, would really suit...
.
Take it easy & enjoy the rest of your day...

I thought the sailcloth strap shown on the current ff would be a perfect match for 15/50. Unfortunately, it may never be known how good it would look.
According to Tourneau, the Boston Blancpain AD, they have to see the watch before they can order a strap. Seems the Swatch Group wants the case back number before they will tell the dealer what strap they have for the watch.
Are there any sailors in the group who can work with sailcloth and leather?
What does this sailcloth strap look like, please?Originally Posted by usmike

John B&M calls this strap sailcloth though it seems a bit like Kevlar to me.
Hi Ron, well modern "sailcloth" is made of kevlar or carbon fiber if you have to be fast :)Originally Posted by Ron Jr
IŽm looking for a black Hirsch Lorenzo Leonardo and it seems that it would be super on the PRS-50. Very similar to that "sailcloth" type strap. BTW, if someone finds a decent dealer, please be so kind to let me know.
As they say you learn something new everyday. Thanks for the info.Originally Posted by walkuere

from my single-choice-is-nato-way. So: Where? And how much?
Mine will most probably stay on the Di-Model Jumbo:
That strap just does it perfectly for me.

Apologies if this has been answered before, but what strap did the Fifty Fathoms come with originally?
Thank you Luso!°
Good question I wish I had an answer for you.Originally Posted by Seamaster73
Eddie should give you a discount next time: this is one of those photos that sells. It seems that the PRS-50 is quite decent after all...Originally Posted by mr1973

Mine has been splitting it's time between the black sharkskin and a polished lumpy. Managed to get a couple of pics of the lumpy today, so here they are:
The lumpy is probably my favourite at the moment, balances the watch head very nicely.

In that case, I'll probably put one of the new silicone tropic-style straps on the 50 if I get around to ordering one. They're available in 22mm.Originally Posted by abraxas
Or perhaps go for nylon?
I ordered one of Eddie's Bund straps especially for this watch - has anyone tried this combo yet? Some of the comments about the weight of the head makes me feel that this might make it too top heavy.
(I'd best get off and order the thing now!)

I really like the rubber strap it came with but for a change the Di-Modell Gaucho takes some beating.
Good weight so it holds the watch well but plain matte stying keeps your focus on the watch head.
Got this strap from a Swedish strapmaker today. I think it's the ultimate leather strap for this watch. The watch looks smaller with the strap but that suits me fine as the smaller look fits my thin wrists better. Love the strap and the watch. Wish I had known about this guy when I had my Panerai watches. That would have been a marriage made in heaven!
I hope this pictures give you inspiration in your hunt for your perfect PRS-50 strap!
Thanks Ronnie for a great strap!
Thanks!
Wow! That's a strap and a half. As you say, it makes the watch look smaller. I like it very much.Originally Posted by jesper451

Here are some pictures of the prs on the omega mesh. It's nice, but I already miss the smell of the vanilla strap.
On the subject of straps and bracelets, has anyone seen a bracelet with the proper end links that will fit the PRS50?Originally Posted by Dave E

To my knowledge the vanilla smell disappears after a while ?Originally Posted by lenny
This watch belongs on the Omega mesh. Great combo. Nice pics. Enjoy your watch. :D

I'm still not sure about the Flieger style straps on a dive watch.... hmm.
But I might be just a bit too anal about that ;-)
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.
Got my 13 dollar mesh today including shipping. :D I think it works well on the watch. Could have been thicker but for that price I'm really happy with the bracelet. The nato is the best option so far, but this is a good alternative IMO.
I just love this watch on Nato. Perfection!!!
I like the look of that on mesh Jesper, can you PM me the source, thanks.
