Heads Up - Cheaney brogues less than half price

Cheaney Edinburgh and Maidstone brogues, in brown, only £149 per pair, online at Jones the Bootmakers. Fabulous shoes. Limited stock left.

Thanks for the heads up! Very tempted by the maidstones but I think they will be big for me - funny the smallest size they do is 7, haven't seen this before.

    Hello

Just snagged some size 12's subject to delivery. I am normally 11 or 12 but ordinarily a G fitting. Fingers crossed they fit!

I am normally a 12 or 13 but can easily wear a 12 f in cheaney shoes. Much more room than loake, trickers or church.

    Fantastic shoes though

Leather soles? Nah. They wear far too fast.

    Then get them resoled.

Money after money on sole repairs? Money for old rope.

    Hello

They are already half price. Wouldn't cost that much to resole them at some point.

Alternate, not in wet, shoe trees etc etc etc.

I can go a good couple of years on a leather sole.

Last time I spoke to cheaney a full rebuild was 8 weeks and £95, which is a bargain in my view.

Look at some of the Clarkes, soled out offering prices that don't even last 6 months with no option of repair.

I agree with this Gent. Just buy more pairs and alternate them!

The only time I went through a leather sole was by being silly and wearing them in the rain for a few days. Cheaney resolved them in Dainite, and honestly the shoes aren't as nice (but a bit more practical for Manchester weather!)

Thanks for the heads up, both mentioned styles ordered & a pair of monks too. Hopefully the sizing is OK, these higher level brands are all over the place depending which last is used so all 3 may go back!
