Nothing? This is surprising!
Hi all,
Does anyone have any recommendations for Rolex service in SW or Central London or Kent?
I am aware of St James and King's Hill RSC but looking for other service agents.
Cheers,
Rico
Nothing? This is surprising!
I have used West Repairs in Walderslade before and was very impressed. Not sure if they're still going as the website seems to have disappeared.
There's a Rolex service centre at 1 Hyde Park in Knightsbridge.
West Malling did my Rolex in four weeks, and you get a two year guarantee. It has to be the way to go, especially as they have all the parts"

It's run by Watch Gallery but has a fully Rolex accredited Watchmaker in there is my understanding. Video on the above link suggests so as well.

Looks like it is all on-site.
Depends if you want 'official' or 'accredited'.
Russell Talerman just off Regent St is good and reasonably priced. Turnaround is not particularly quick but neither is it particularly slow.
Pretty sure he's Rolex accredited, and will also work on vintage stuff.
OK...there Rolex have two Official Service Centres in the UK (as mentioned by the OP): link. On that page Rolex have a link to Affiliates and Service Centres where they say:
Affiliates & service centres
The leading name in luxury wristwatches, Rolex has been the pre-eminent symbol of performance and prestige for over a century. Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, with 28 affiliates worldwide and relying on 4,000 watchmakers in over 100 countries, Rolex continues to expand its long history of achievement and innovation.
There is also a link to Rolex Servicing (link) where it says:
The Rolex Service Procedure
The Rolex service procedure is designed to ensure that every timepiece leaving a Rolex workshop complies with its original functional and aesthetic specifications. Each movement is completely overhauled and each case and bracelet is meticulously refinished to restore its lustre. Etc...
...and ends with a link to Service your Rolex: link.
Then on the page for The Watch Gallery (Rolex Boutique) at One Hyde Park (link) it says:
"Only official Rolex retailers are allowed to sell and maintain a Rolex. With the necessary skills, technical know-how and special equipment..."
So what is Rolex Accreditation, as claimed by some repairers, please?

From 2012:
"Independent watchmakers in the UK who wish to work with Rolex to offer repairs on the brand’s watches must apply for accreditation through the British Horological Institute."

Jim.
Good to know Rolex still supplies parts to independent watchmakers. We need more people to enter the trade!
Apologies for the delayed acknowledgement. Thanks.
