Thanks for all the ideas guys - plenty of good suggestions. I was in a contract signing meeting today and of the 5 other people in the room, 4 had montblancs, reinforcing my desire for something different.

I second the motion to consider ST Dupont. Some of the designs are elegantly understated and the quality can be exquisite.

As some others, including Neil C have stated, I often try different ball point pens that are not necessarily dear. For instance, while travelling I might pick up one or a few to try (and yes purchasing them rather than jotting all over the tester strip!).

That way I've a small battery, and some surprisingly nice (and yes, cheap), ball points. It's also an excuse to try to travel again in order to search for and replace the stars of the group!

    Cheers,

    AP

got a Karas kustoms Bolt from cultpens, amazing pen. Got mine in Brass so no one tries to nick it when on work visits, it is fantastic, built like a tank too. They do them in aluminuim too ( and also COPPER :D ).

Could be classed as Tactical by some, but so is a ikea pencil IMO ;)

    Quick works shot of pen.

Hi Pastrana, good photo of some good tools - Wera make some quality stuff at reasonable prices, I have some of their screwdrivers; Bahco are probably the best adjustable spanners, I think yours may be an older on as it's Swedish, the new ones are made in Spain. Where did you get the knife from? What do you use it for and would you recommend one?

    Sorry for the thread diversion.
