    Timefactors Newsletter

Thanks Eddie for the newsletter you sent out to those who are subscribed. It's nice to get an update like this on current and future projects. I'm really looking forward to seeing some these completed (especially SB3) in 2008.

Best wishes for your continued success,
    Rick

I know it's naughty to ask this but are there any guestimates yet as to when the Speedbird and PRS10 will be available?

    Thanks for the letter!

Assuming Eddie has no objections to it, here's the content of the newsletter:

Firstly, let me wish you and your family happiness and good health during 2008 and thank you for your support and interest during 2007.

This is more of a newsletter to inform you of current and future projects than a site update notification. Now that I'm concentrating on developing my own brands, new watches are being added to the site much less often than when I was more dependent on the watches of others. I will still continue to sell Zeno and, when I can get them, Damasko and Seiko.

I receive enquiries for Damasko watches every day but the sad fact is that I haven't received any chronographs from them since August 2006 and only twelve watches in total during 2007. I have several orders outstanding with Damasko for all models and hope that the supply situation will improve with the employment of a watchmaker in January 2008 and yet another towards the middle of the year.

2007 saw the arrival of the Precista "Italian" PRS-20 and Precista PRS-50. Both models were made as limited and non-limited editions and both limited editions were heavily over-subscribed and sold out quickly. The non-limited edition of both models is currently available - http://www.timefactors.com/precista.htm

Several new models are planned for 2008 and these are always discussed on the forum before final specification is submitted to the manufacturer. If you missed any of the new models for 2007, you will probably want to check the forum for details of current projects. Links to these projects are:

    Speedbird 3 - http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19554 and http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30211

PRS-5. This is a Precista version of the now sold-out Broadarrow PRS-5 and for the first time I'll be using a Chinese movement, the Seagull ST19 which is based on the Venus 175. Discussion of the movement is here: http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33408

PRS-10. A new version of the basic G10 but now with 10-year battery life movement. http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28765

Three projects are currently stalled either because of technical difficulties or current non-availability of movements. I'll be pushing to get these resurrected quickly, they are:

    PRS-9 - Czech Airforce homage

PRS-19 - Richmond Spencer trench watch

    PRS-21 - Dreadnought GMT

    PRS-24 - Dreadnought Superquartz - http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=34265

I have another couple of ideas which are still at the "possibility" stage.

A range of Italian silicone rubber straps was added to the site, including orange ones - http://www.timefactors.com/rubber.htm and a range of 100% cotton canvas straps in three sizes and colours at http://www.timefactors.com/tfstrap.htm

Traffic on the forum continues to grow and has recorded more than a million page views each month for the last nine months. Everyone is welcome to register, I ask only that posts are civil and that opposing opinions are respected even when not agreed with. There is no formal moderation on the forum and so far, this works.

Once again, thanks for your interest and support.

    Regards,

    Eddie

I'll second that. It's a nice touch, that in addition to the products, service and this forum, contributes to Eddie's and Timefactors reputation. Thanks.

I mailed 3060 people but more than 500 failed because the registered e-mail addresses were no longer valid. Since the mailshot, another 70 have signed up.
