Newbie here, is there a DIY guide for strap changing?

I know I need a basic mini tool for changing spring bars...
Anything else I should know so I won't scratch up the lugs?

    Thanks!

    Ok, thanks!

Any specific tool that is really popular around here? (Other than
the free mini tool that comes with the strap from the vendor)

The best tool is the Bergeon 6767. Get the wide tip for straps and the fine tip for bracelets.

You can buy the Bergeon 6767 here... http://www.thestrapshop.co.uk/pages/access/tools.html. It comes with both the wide and narrow forked ends as well as the attachment for removing links from bracelets. It's excellent.
