Beautiful, in-house movement and decent price. What's not to like?
It is a wannabe watch. I would avoid. You can do much better.
Looks like a very nice piece to me - has a very well-balanced, crisp look to it, and the arrangement and clarity of the subdials are very pleasing to my eye. I haven't seen this one before, but I have a FC Classics Index and if that's anything to go by, I don't think you'd be disappointed with the overall finish and quality at this price point.
Jon, I'm afraid that's a schoolboy error; Tri-compax doesn't mean three sub-dials. Here's an explanation from the manufacturer:

I don't mind them as a brand, but that particular watch does nothing for me in the way it looks. However, if I liked the way it looked, it does tick a few boxes so why not get one if you like it?
I don't know about that particular watch but I have tried on a few FC moon phase watches and they are very nice. Only thing I would say though is try it on before buying as some of their manufacture watches are a bit chunky.
It certainly is. It always had a nice body, but what a difference a face makes.

Cheapest I can find it is from Iconic, £1660 not in stock 7-21 days delivery time.
The watch gallery had them for just over £1100, sold out now and can't order any more.

I have to look it up every so often: Watch-Wiki Compax.
If it had a units per hour bezle and a bit of red writing I would say yes. Just a very smart watch I recon.
Does it really have an in house movement? I did not think there were many in house chronograph movements around.
To me a closer resemblance would be to a Hamilton Chronomatic. A bit.
30 Jewels, 28,800 vph and in-house.
There's a good detailed review here:

Thumbs up for the panda dial.
Very nice.
Gemnation have 76% off FC at the moment........maybe worth a look just in case?
