    How does your PRS-50 run?

I think that this has never been asked yet. One of the main advantages I see in having the LE is that the movements have been serviced (even oiled twice, as far as I can remember).

Well, mine runs now at about +3 secs/24 h - crown down at night. What about yours?
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.

I wear mine about 24 hours a day (minus while showering, or operating), and it runs about -1sec/day right now.

    Quite nice indeed!

    +2 / 24h.

I'm very happy with the precision.

About -30 every 24 hours consistently so far, which is too much for me :( I'm going to let it settle for a bit before getting something done about it, though.

I haven't measured it - I will do so and report back. I did notice it was pretty close to 'bang on the pips' the day after I got it though.

I use a radiocontrolled clock that gets it signal from an atomic clock.

About the power reserve: mine has at least 5 hours: that is the longest period the 50 has been away from my wrist.

I'm wearing mine almost every day, I just switched to the PRS-14 during 24h

What exactly is the meaning of "No Radiation" in relation to to the 'NO RADIATION' version of the original "Blancpain 50 fathoms"? I have tried to find out via Google but without success and thus am still wondering. I could hazard a guess but would like to know for sure.

    Thanks

ME 109 was the standard fighter for nearly a decade.
The aircraft pilots and navigators wore these timing instruments with long leather straps above the sleeve for ease of visibility and operation.

Was +4 secs against the Radio 4 8am pips yesterday, and -28 secs against them this morning, so approx. -32 secs / 24 hours on the wrist.

I'll do a more scientific comparison later in the week when it's had a chance to recover from two Trans Atlantic journeys in less than two weeks.

What accuracy should we be looking for??

I took it off my wrist on Sunday at 10:00PM and today at 6:30PM when I put it back it was still running.

Like a few others, mine is running around -30s/day when on the winder. Is this an easy movement to regulate?
Might be time to invest in a case opening tool :?:..

    Cheers,

    Peter.

i closed the case yesterday evening after my third attempt at regulating it.
the first time i did not expect to find the regulator lever so soft and i overshot the mark by a mile, ending up at +30 more or less.So i set it back the second day, achieving something around -15. Yesterday evening i gave it another very gentle nudge up and at the moment it gained 1 second between 20:00 of yesterday and 13:57 today.

It seems beginner luck helped me a lot....

Btw, I think mine is running fast by 10 seconds in 12 hours.
I'm used to quartz, so this is all new to me! =D

The timekeeping on mine is excellent. When I took a picture of it with my GMT earlier this week they were perfectly synced. Now two days later the difference between them is 4 sec. And my GMT keeps perfect time. Excellent! Who needs a quartz for timekeeping. Almost Rolexquality on that movement! :D

I never got around to actively checking #35 when I had it, but I did note that it was very close to the time signal over the days I wore it (and was therefore a bit surprised to hear of other's inaccuracy). So looks like you got a good'n Jesper! :thumbright:

I wrote three days but it was actually only two days since I took the photos, I thought it was the 13 th today. I have edited my post above.

Have to be honest when the evidence is there for all to see. The date wheel never lies! :D

    Still excellent timekeeping.

  35. #35
#007 has been on my wrist for about 36 hours, and so far, it's about a second fast. Which I'm perfectly pleased with!
