At 77mm including the Canteen! :)
:)
I believe this particular Zlatoust dates to 1972 and has a type 3 case.
Always found these fascinating, plenty of history and mystery behind them too.
It should be with me in a week or so, not sure my 7inch wrist will be able to pull this one off but I will post a wrist shot anyhow. :)
The strap looks rather long, so I will be looking for an alternative. (I am a idiot so i will wear this out and about.)
Happy Easter everyone. :)

That looks a fascinating watch but I have to confess to knowing nothing at all about the brand. Some research is required. You are absolutely right to wear it out and about - enjoy !
Snap
nice original watch and strap, do you have the chain on the canteen cap?
Thanks :)

Wowsers looks more like a small flask than a canteen! Bet that's going to be fun to wear, especially if you've had a nice 35mm dress watch in for a few days beforehand. Who said larger watches are a recent fashion?
Fashion watches were getting on the large side , I believe smaller watches are trending now though.
I did read somewhere that the Zlatoust is not classed as a watch.. A bit odd I know, but it was made in the clock division, the caliber K-43 movement inside is the same that would go into aviation clocks.
(My smallest watch is 42mm, but it's still going to get some getting used to, I'm sure of that.) :)
Love those things.
Does it glow / emit radioactive particles?

Well, when a watch enthusiast commits to purchasing a 70-odd mm watch, ld say hed already considered the possibility that it might look a bit daft on a bare wrist - especially when presented with photographic examples - so lm guessing said individual doesn't care.
Fair play l guess, if that's what blows your skirt - l certainly don't get a "look at me" vibe (from the OP).
Don't forget to refrain from cracking your knuckles, in fear of bones breaking! The crown protrudes a helluva lot.
Doesn't the crown rub on the back of your hand/ prevent you from extending your wrist?

I think You will have yo wear that on your right wrist so the canteen won't be digging at Your wrist everytime You extend.
Congrats! Looks like a fine example. When I wore mine at work it really generated many comments and chats and was actually funny to see the surprise on the faces. I wore it on my right arm due to the giant crown. However had to put off when drawing on the Cintiq screen to prevent scratches...(not on the watch of course 😊) Here is one more quich wrist shot just to scare...
This threads dying for someone to strap a grand father clock to there wrist stroke body,on a serious note I like a big watch but not that
I won't bother mentioning what I think of a few posters in this thread, but the watch is meant to be worn over a bulky dive suit in the 60's, it's not a daily wear on bare skin.

lol... You're a braver man than me, that's for sure!
Wow. If i put that on i'd have enough space where the over hang would be on my wrist to stash two french baguettes.
Does stick out a bit, but it has a place in my collection.
I keep meaning to have a holder built (maybe machined out of metal) so that I can use mine as a desk clock.
