    BREITLING 1806 IRAQI AIRFORCE

After many years on my wanted list, finally managed to get a decent one...steel strap arriving somewhere this week...pretty good shape I think!

Yes, it's big but on my 7.5 wrist it actually looks normal, quite pleased with the way it looks, and it wears surprisingly comfortable, even with the crown being located on the left hand side, don't know why it's called the ''suicide'' crown if somebody knows please tell me!

Will post some more pics of it on a steel bracelet and caseback once the bracelet arrives

Great looking watch, one of my favourite Breitlings.

    I have the re-make Chrono-Matic 44mm. I couldn't get away with the 48mm.

Congrats on a great pick up.

Maybe the term "suicide crown" comes from the car world, where they call the rearward opening doors suicide doors (hinges towards the back of the vehicle, opposing to the majority of cars)? Just a guess...

I'm just getting a generic 22 mm steel bracelet to see if I like the look and feel , if I like it I will look for a Breitling bracelet... they do come up from time to time...I do agree they're undervalued.. first automatic Chrono calibre 11/ 12...Breitling...Iraqi Airforce ...It's a keeper for me...

Very nice!! Still trying to find a suitable steel bracelet...hard to get the right curve...straight ends would work but eventually it might damage the chrome on the inside of the case due to moving...if anybody knows or has a suitable steel bracelet let me know! Thanks!

Here it is on a generic steel bracelet, don't think I like the bracelet as it's not tapered in nor do the middle links go from large to small so to speak...please help me get a economic and suitable bracelet..thanks!

It's not exactly the answer you're looking for, but I think all Navitimers look far better on leather straps than on bracelets.

I'd just treat it to a better strap, if I were you. My Navitimer World arrived on leather and looks fantastic - I tried putting it on the steel bracelet from one of my Avengers and it looked awful..

Agreed, I got a leather Breitling strap and buckle,it's just that steel suits me better for work..

How about a mesh? I think they're the only aftermarket bracelets that really work (someone will now post a dozen great looking aftermarket bracelets on watches photos ).

I put a Staib mesh on my SOH46, looks the mutts and was a very good quality item for the price.

Try Hans-Peter at timedesign.de, great prices and comms, heartily recommend.
