Has anyone used intime (debanhams) for watch repair

My watch needs a new plexi-glass I'm aware of specialists like Genesis but a little paranoid about posting an expensive watch whereas with intime who are based
in my local debenhams I can just take in. They've given me a comparable quote to other repairers just wondering if anyone else has any experience.

I suspect if you take the watch to the stand in debenhams for a new crystal they may well just post it themselves to their own workshop wherever that may be...

Why not take your watch to an AD, get them to post it off for repair under their insurance.

If it's worth so much it can't be sent via RMSD with full insurance up to £2500, do you really want to take it to some battery jockey in Debenhams?

This is one of those moments where I really wish we weren't lumbered with 5 million sh*te smilies and just had the standard array to choose from. I'd probably choose a shocked one and say that if your watch is too valuable to send away it's definitely too valuable to entrust to an outlet in debenhams.

Meantime I'll go with this one which I shall label the Barrister Smilie...

Here is the google search of this forum for "In time" "Debenhams" - threads going back over a few years. I'm sure if you look through them you'll get your own sense of whether they'll be good enough for your watch

I'd suggest no. I've watched them changing leather straps (not mine, when perusing their Hirsch range before buying cheaper online) and the 'watchmaker' looked like he didn't have a clue. Unless your watch is worth under £50 I'd really advise against it!
