    GPS or Multiband 6 ?

    Hi,

I am considering a G Shock and was wondering if there were any advantage of the GPS enabled GPW-1000 over the Multiband 6 GW-A1100 ?

Obviously the former has the ability to acquire a signal from GPS but as I spend 99.999% of my time within the reception area of the Multiband 6 I was wondering if the extra outlay was worth the extra, also has anyone had any reliability issues with GPS enabled G Shocks ?

    Thanks,

    Graham.

i think the gps function is only useful if you are outside the reception area of the 6 multi band transmitters, but what do i know?
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

I'd say just get the watch you like the look of best. Both do the same thing if your staying round the radio signal.

I don't know the G-Shock range at all, but (apart from coverage) the primary advantage of GPS-based watches over radio-controlled watches is that they can automatically set the time zone as well as the time.
