Collected new Rolex Daytona yesterday - White face

    All,
Thought I'd start a new thread from my excitement yesterday

I am now the proud owner of the brand new Rolex Daytona with the black bezel with the White face. I do t have a tonne of watch experience but compared to my other new watch (Rolex Batman which I love) it feels more elegant, lighter in weight and smaller, despite its 40 size. The contrast between the black and white I think is perfect and over the moon with it. Just two watches and only really need one (unlike most on here it seems !)

I will pop some more pics on shortly, as it's still in its box with plastic stickers etc on it but here it is on my wrist

I think that's beautiful, the colour contrast between bezel and dial is an excellent change from previous Daytona.

    Enjoy it Sir!

A great pair, a great week, well done!

The Daytona, although advertised as 40mm is usually accepted as 38.5mm (or thereabouts). Small dial and big(ish) bezel have always made it look smaller, but the original was 36mm!

Personally I think it's exactly the right size.

Congratulations. The white dial is in a different to the black dial version imo.

Definitely the one to have ;)

    Congrats, a really beautiful watch.
Is it a contra that, as you say, it wears smaller than its 40mm suggests?

I do like the look of the white dialed one, a bit slow off the mark and not currently on any lists, will be interesting to see how long I'm quoted!
Enjoy your new watch, and you're deluded if you think you are going to stop at 2 watches!

Really nice and well done on acquiring one, did the AD warn you of selling on at a profit especially as it came with stickers??

They are sufficiently different to justify keeping both but if you need to sell one I guess the BLNR would be easiest to replace in the future.

Makes sense to me....just my BNLR has a few scratches on already...it's mint and a few months old but does that matter ?

    Oooh, what a lovely pair.
If it were me, i would keep the pair. Put the BLNR on a Rubber-B and you have a perfect casual watch to sit alongside the Daytona.

As said and noted above, the BLNR is different enough to warrant its own place in the collection. Unless done for financial reasons, i definitely think you should keep both!

Couldn't start with a better pair really!
