These are my daily desk divers, with an impostor lurking in the midst. I can forgive it though!

I am using this to show off my new to me SBBN015 - beauty!

    Latest addition to the family:

Love it! Much larger than expected, but still not too large, superior quality than the SKX, rubber much softer than the SKX, no chapter alignment issues. Very happy with it.

    😃😄😃

I know the feeling, and I love mine too:

To be fair, I was in the same state when I met my wife (though she's not mail order from Singapore), and I love her too, so there's a lot to be said for getting into that state methinks.

    When a strap fits....

Some of you might have seen my thread about this watch a couple of months ago when I was given in by my FIL as it was broken. He bought it new more than 40 years ago and wore it weekly until this year. Anyway, fixed and now off the bracelet and onto this lovely calf skin, fine grained black leather.

I love it. The size is perfect and it's just so comfortable. I love the blue dial against the black strap.

I know there's a lot of love round these parts for the 7000-8000 series so thought I'd share it in the Seiko thread (apologies for my atrocious photography):

I like the dial but the case size is too large for my taste. I dont really like anything above 38mm - even this is a compromise as my real preference is for 35 or 36mm, however choice is very limited at this size

That makes sense. I think the '65 is 40mm, which is at the top of my preferred range too. Although I do have a 46mm Glycine (does not get worn a lot by me). 38mm is my sweet spot. However I really want an SDGM003 next which I believe is a 40mm?

Yes, it's a US market only watch unfortunately. Sellers ship to UK, but you run the risk of duty/taxes.

My only Seiko but still my favourite out of the watches I have is a Kinetic Titanium Divers Watch. The model number being 5M43-0B30 / SKJ045P.
I have owned the watch for many years, having bought it from new in the Canary Islands as a present to myself in March 1999.
I have had it serviced by Seiko once when the watch stopped working (would not hold a charge) in February 2005 and they stung me for replacing the capacitor!
It has however worked faultlessly ever since. Whatever mysterious pixie dust they use for "Lumbrite" has the hands and numbers glow in the dark for hours.

That collection below is a hard act to follow... but, anyway, this 1974 (I think, could be ’84) 7009-3101 was a cheap, few-sheets-to-the-wind eBay purchase having been rather taken by the aged dial and hands. Binned the dreadful cheap aftermarket bracelet in favour of a braided NATO and it's worked out ok. Better than some of my other post-pint bids, at least:

Does this one count?? Gerlach 'Seikosha Tokkotai', a replica of the WWII Seikosha Divine wind Kamikaze pilots watch.

Tokkatai means to leave, and never return in Japanese.

The watch contains a Seiko NH35 auto, hackable movement. These were made for the Spanish 'Para Club Okies Seiko' in a limited edition of 150 . Mine is 36/150.

January 1985 6309-7040. Only the insert and crystal (correct replacement) aren't original.

Been fully stripped, serviced and pressure tested by The Seiko Yoda. The DAL1BP arrived from Seiya at the same time - this is as close to the original strap the watch had when new as you can get.

Duncan reports it's running at around +2spd.

There's just something about these that keeps me coming back to them.
