They should be looking for a dentist as the new England manager......they'll probably have better luck. Iceland seem to have.

Shearer threw his hat into the ring on MOTD last night...
They are the reason the Dutch are not playing at all on Euro 2016, beat us twice.
France won't be to sure about winning this easily..............
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!

Iceland 2: Poundland 1?
That Asda hurt.
(just a Lidl joke)
I'm a huge fan of British football, so not trying to take the p*** a day after a defeat, but isn't this England team rather bland?
Where are the world-class players?
Build your own best-11 out of all euro teams. Which England players would you choose? I can't think of any, even going 3 deep on some positions.
Stars isn't everything (as Iceland has shown) but they can change a game.
I only watched the game last night because Wheeler Dealers wasn't on. I can't wait for the Rugby season to start again.
Madness, how can Shearer possibly claim to have the managerial experience needed to take on probably the most challenging job in the world!? The same goes for Southgate, a little bit of success (and a lot of failure) at U21 level doesn't make him a good candidate. He was an awful club manager as well.
If we go down the route of another poor England manager like McLaren we won't even make it to major tournaments (maybe a blessing!). I can't help thinking that the lack of decent English managers has been just as damaging to the England Team as the lack of world class players. We could go down the foreign manager route again but that hasn't worked in the past either.
This isn't a great England Team but it should still be doing better in these tournaments. We can beat the easy teams in qualifying and friendlies but when we're up against teams full of Championship (or worse) level players in a tournament we fall apart and can't produce the goods. We started the game well last night but the fear in the players was instantly noticeable as soon as the first Iceland goal went in.
Other teams can do better with quite limited squads. Look at Italy, supposedly this is their worse team in 50 years with no major stars but they look to be the best team in the tournament along with Germany.

...if the new England manager absolutely has to be English. :)
It's true, Iceland are a very good team. As Daddel says they kept out my second favourite nations team - the Oranje boys.
Not the same without their tantrums and lovely football.
That said, England after half time when it became obvious we were never going to equalise the nerves took over and most of them couldn't string a couple of easy passes together.
Kane decided to make an absolute hash of his free kicks and of course Hart is just a disaster zone.
Very poor result but Iceland richly deserved the win.
Be interesting to see how they get on against France.
Cheers,
Neil.
When Hart let the second goal in, it looked like he was belly flopping on a sun lounger. Perhaps his mind was already elsewhere.
Roy Hodgson just started his press conference with "I don't really know what I'm doing here" - sums it up perfectly!
I demand re-match!
Fas est ab hoste doceri
Bobby Charlton was asked how he thought the England team of '66 would have fared against Iceland. " I think we'd have won 1-0 " he replied. "Only 1-0?" Said the reporter. "Yes," said Bobby. "Most of us are in our 70's now!"
As crap as England were/are, it's like most"smaller" teams see Englsnd as a scalp.
A game too far for Iceland?
They raised their game against us - their final?
Or France are that much better than England?
Anyway, c'mon Wales!!!
