As below stranger things on Netflix is great.
do i have to pay extra for 4k on netflix?
Outcast is brilliant and can be downloaded on demand as its part way through season 1 on fox at the minute.
Mentioned it in the dedicated thread but thought id do so here as well. First episode was a little slow but it was more an exercise in stage setting for the rest of the episodes. It's got dark.
Three episodes into Stranger Things , one of the best programmes ive seen in ages.
Think of a mash up of; ET, Close Encounters, The Goonies, Stephen King novels and Poltergeist with awesome 80s music. It's pretty creapy too.
There's loads of nods to all things 80s too including Star Wars, The Thing, X Men comics, Jaws, plus loads more I've probably missed.
Basically if you were born in the 70s then it'll make you feel like a kid again.
Another endorsement for Stranger things here, 3 episodes in and it's pretty good!
Cheers..

Last night SWMBO & I watched the first two episodes of a Channel 4 mini-series called National Treasure.
It stars Robbie Coltrane and Julie Walters. Robbie Coltrane plays a 80's/90's TV comedian who is accused of historic sexual abuse. It's pretty gripping stuff, because actually Robbie's character is equal parts likeable and detestable. Your opinion of whether you think he's innocent or guilty changes from scene to scene.
I have to say, IMO for a while Netflix and other streaming services really had the lead on quality original content, and it's forced network TV channels to up their game. Along with the series Humans (back soon!), Channel 4 is doing a bloody good job!
What channel/service is designated survivor on?
Been watching Ash Vs Evil Dead, love it as am a big fan but it's not exactly mentally challenging!
Also been watching Edge of Darkness which is great, but not sure it counts as "new".
