Your kidding no one, that looks like Weymouth to me
I happened to find myself on Capri this week, wearing as it happens, the one watch that I took on holiday (amazing!)
Two things struck me whilst there (in addition to the "goodness this is quite a steep walk" and "golly that was an expensive ferry trip") -
1. The Capri Watch brand.
Why is the local brand so dreadful? Surely they could do better than the dreadful baubles that they punt out and advertise so widely, on busses, boats and billboards.
2. The watches on sale in the Capri shops
Lots to see with a very short walk. There were a number of interesting watch shops and I got a few (poor) photos
Bearing mind that most shoppers on Capri are short term water-bourne visitors, I have to assume that these are all available to buy there and then, rather than requiring you to pop back in 2-3 years time. I did venture into the shop with the JLC franchise in search of a Geophysic True Second, but they didn't have one so I left disappointed, refusing to be in any way bothered by the Hublot, AP and Panerai watches that the leggy blonde was keen to show me.
BTW, if anyone if wondering how I managed to holiday with just one watch, it was easy; simply take one watch that is robust, waterproof and will tell the time. The holiday is about the destination, not the timepiece as this photo will clearly demonstrate-

Nice write up, those Capri brand watches are bad.
Positano worth a look too if you haven't already.
Was that a blue dial 5711 in the window just for the taking (buying)?
Capri is a bad memory for me, I went up the hillside in one of the minibuses to get to the chair lift.
I was sat on the back seat when the bus hit a massive pothole and it put my back out, this was 27 years ago and I still have problems with my back even now.
Love Capri, back in Sorrento again in a few weeks time.
The shops are pretty extraordinary; clothes, bags and shoes, not just watches. As a family some years ago we had the single most expensive day trip there we ever had on a holiday but it was fun.
I think the Capri Watch brand is for the day trip visitors and the Capri Watch shops are for those staying on the island. And for window shopping of course.
I was also in Capri recently, pretty good selection - the best were near the top of the main shopping street, with some nice pieces in the window, a ghost bezel snowflake sub, red and double red. Not the greatest pictures, but since we're on the subject!
The best part is that you can easily hire a speedboat and find your own way round the island. This seemed to fit the bill:
