Just came back from WoS to see some watches during lunch time as one does. IWC has had a price rise now a Portuguese automotic is £10,250.00

    IW5007 9650.00 GBP > 10,250.00 GBP so £600.00 increase which is around 6% increase?

Also panerai increase is imminent too.

Aren't most brands increasing UK prices this month/next month?
It's just a matter of time...

These seem pretty small increases in the circumstances

The guy at WoS said that the UK retail is still lower than other countries, even after this adjustement.

I was told today that come September Rolex will cost 10% more (probably been mentioned before) but was news to me.

    Is that right?

If any use, i can tell you all Richemont brands are going up as of last week when Cartier started. Breitling i believe are holding still and Swatch are on the fence and haven't confirmed anything yet. Hope this helps.

Some brands are really pushing their price limits.

I have to agree here. I like IWC, have one and wouldn't mind adding another. However the prices are getting out of hand for watches that have simple cases, simple movements (even Sellita in some cases), and in-house that don't always seem that well engineered (7 day accuracy anybody...). However Georges Kern has made his position on pricing abundantly clear in *that* famous video.

In the scheme of things, price rise is only modest and will probably have little impact. Only time will tell but it does not influence the fact that I have no love for many of their watches!

They make the watches cheaply so they can afford all the fancy marketing.

The main guy at our local AD says a 10% increase by Rolex is imminent, days rather than weeks. This would take a date sub to nearly £6,300.00

Prices are only going in one direction, however sellers warning of increases can only help there monthly sales volumes.
