I find their sizes run pretty true
The red wing store in Carnaby st. is a good place to start if in London.
I think the red wing site has a list of shops that sell them.
hi,
i know there are a few owners on here, how do redwing sizes run compared to more traditional english shoes?
I am a 9 in most barkers and churches and 9-9.5 in my C&Js (depending on last)
Also, where is best to purchase redwings in the uk

I find them big.
What Sinnlover said.
I bought a pair of RedWing Chukkas from asos.com for under £110 (with a voucher code) last month, it's always worth keeping an eye on there. I'm normally a size 10 and the sizing was bang on with hardly any breaking in, an instant favourite pair boots.
My Redwings are all uk 9 and I am a 10 in Adidas. Not sure if that helps or not.
I think they run big. I'm usually 8.5-9 - I got a size 8.
Try eBay or Surfdome.

Red wing moc toes are on the large size so I get a half size down but the chukkas are true to size. When you hear people saying size down on Red wings it's the moc toes that they are referring too, mainly because they are work boots and are designed to be worn with thick socks.
thanks all
9 uk should be fine then
Yes, the chukkas are true to size.

Yeah I'd agree that the chukkas are pretty much true to size. Beckman's and iron rangers are a different story though, I find these come up really big.
I think I tried on every style in Son of a Stag within +/- 1 size of my normal boots. Couldn't find a single style of Red Wings in which I felt comfortable. Which was a shame...
A while back, I tried on three styles, chukka, postman & Beckman's: all supposed to be the same size, but all different on my feet.

Jim.
I must be the exception or feet are getting bigger.....
Most Loakes, Barkers and Grensons are all 8's but I found the Redwing Chukka's just a tad snug in some places.
I tried some moc toes on at the London store and again the 8's were a bit snug on the inside of my big pinky.

I find them roomier, more so than big?
I am a 10 I pretty much everything, but bought a pair of Redwings recently in size 9, and they fit perfectly. Spent ages in their carnaby street store, could have bought at least three pairs, but since it's summer and I already have enough boots, I bought a pair of weekenders.
Agree with the majority here; I've always found the chukkas to be true to size.
I found mine true to size and 'roomy'....
Wearable straight out of the box with no 'breaking in' period either.
thanks for all the advice
9 fits perfectly and comfy out of the box
Anybody have both crockett & jones boots / shoes and Red Wing Moc Toes (875 / 877)
If so what size do you have in both brands? Would be very helpful to Know both sizes since I have to order online
Any help appreciated!!!
Been advised to size down a full size or half with Moc Toes so CJ reference might help me figure out which since im a heavy user of CJs

I wear UK6.5 in C&J and have had Red Wing Moc-toes, they were US7.5 and quite roomy - I could fit a thick sock and an insole. With US7 I think the shoe would've been to short.
