    Rolex for SWMBO

I have placed a deposit to buy SWMBO a Rolex 176200 and I will pick it up from T5 late September. What is my checklist of things to make sure I get the "full set"? While the prospect of flipping is remote I want to make sure I get the full set.

From frequenting this site I think I will be looking for

    Box
    Papers
    Hang tag
    Full set of links

    What else?

    TIA

    Alastair

Surely if you are getting it brand new then it will be a full set anyway, so no worries. Didn't realise you could pre order at airports, do you pay upfront or when you collect, what about the price increase?

Make sure you're served by a good looking shop assistant.

    Papers?

Completed warranty card in green pouch with chronometer booklet.
Two swing tags, probably one green and one white now.
    Oyster Perpetual booklet.
    Inner and outer boxes.

It may have arrived at the dealer with a box sleeve and bezel protector, but these are not intended necessarily to be given to the customer.

Make sure it has all the stickers, correctly placed. Also bring a loupe with a light and carefully inspect the watch for any flaws before you accept it. Also check the serial numbers.

    Thanks to all for replies.

It was possible to reserve and pay full deposit (they actually had the watch in stock) which I hope will avoid the price rise expected soon. Being new I know it should be a full set but I want to make sure I leave with all the bits I should!

Liking the tip about the assistant!!

Can only echo these comments, it'll really ensure that you look like a complete buffoon. Plus it'll give the staff a laugh.
