Ok so having been away I couldn't give any updates on this but we are back and the watch is completed and I will be picking it up hopefully later this week. I am really pleased with how it has turned out bearing in mind it was a complete unknown quantity and a complete mess.
This is how it looked after going into Graham at Superlative Time in London.
Parts that can be saved!
Building up the movement etc.
Finished article!
To say that I am pleased is an under statement and a massive thanks to Graham at Superlative Time.
This turned out very nice indeed!
Congratulations on bringing this back to life!

Looks great! Now for a faded pepsi bezel.... :-)
What a fabulous job that is.
It will be a pleasure to wear. Hope you enjoy it!
Very nice indeed!
That does look very cool
Looks great - a superb job!
What's the story with this watch? Did you buy it recently as a project or have you had it long term??
I like the mocha lume plots. I also love the look of the GMTs with the all black bezel. Wear it in good health.

Excellent restro job. These a great watches. Wearing my 16750 as I type. But with very fat faded pepsi insert
Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

Excellent result....
Graham @Superlativetime is a very good choice for this type of work - thoroughly recommended.

Good to see it come back to life.
Stunning. Would look for a worn bezel though
Impressive, always good to see things (houses/cars etc) brought back into use.
A great recovery :-)
Now get that insert looking worn in ;-)
Looks superb now! Nice to see something given a new lease of life
