    Bergeon nickel-plated brass tools

    Could anyone tell me does Bergeon's nickel-plated brass tools ever rust? Thank you.

    Nickel doesn't rust. But brass tarnishes (a rust like phenomenon). The main purpose of the nickel plating is to make the surface harder.

    Thanks for the info, Bob. So, a tarnish spot is nothing to worry about?
    Whether it is or not depends on where it is on the tool, etc. The nickel is worn through?

    The tool is suppose to be brand new and bought from ebay and there is just one small spot on the handle. I just wipe it with a fellowes wipe and it's gone now. So, no worries. Thanks.
