I can't say that I like the look of the Ploprof... but it's a piece of history. Congrats!!
As some of you will know I was expecting a rather important arrival today. :D
I'm like a kid at Christmas at the moment. Here it is, just flown in from New York
It doesn't wear anywhere near as big as I expected - probably because the size is in the width (if you know what I mean). Still a big watch, but very comfortable. Just got home, put the extender on the mesh and taken a few quick pics.
It was flown over here on the 24mm mesh, but the original Omega box & papers (showing the first purchase was in Nassau in 1979) along with a couple of Ploprof bracelets and a re-issue Omega OEM Rubber PloProf strap are on their way by post.
I never thought I'd own one of these, and TBH it was a big decision to go for this, but I'm delighted I did :)

Delighted that my High-End Courier Service worked a treat
Rich can explain ...LOL :D
Truly a fabulous piece, and I hope that you will enjoy it in good health.
All the best mate,

Fantastic, a piece of history you can really enjoy. You could never call it beautiful, but purposeful style, yes!
Enjoy it like I know you will 8)
Congratulations Rich, that looks simply awesome and I'm very jealous.
I can sense a few 24mm Toshi specials in the air! Red or orange stitching would work a treat imho.
Wear it well my friend :) .
Cheers,
Gary
You think? Maybe Toshi will send his over for me to have a look at it... :DOriginally Posted by Victor
Let me know if you are ever in NY ,Originally Posted by bricktop

I don't think it's going to be off my wrist for long enough, Bricktop :DOriginally Posted by bricktop
Seriously though, I can understand why it doesn't do anything for some while it is so emotive to me. Probably a good job it's not for everyone or I'd never have afforded one :D
Rich
Superb. Enjoy, and wear it in health. :) :)
Best Regards - Peter
I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
Not my cuppa, but of it's type it looks a beauty, enjoy! :)

Congrats Rich! beautiful watch and great pics!
Panama
You can't really do a lot better than that.
It's one that's never been on my list, but I can understand it's allure. It's a tickin' tockin piece of history :D
Congratulations.
Superb watch, congratulations.
:)
Congrats on a great catch! I too never used to be a fan of those, until I saw one in the steel. Now I'd also like to own one. I agree that they don't wear as big as they look & that it is so comfortable to wear - I blame Stefan (S.L.) for showing me the error of my ways.
/vince ..
Thanks guys!
I was a bit worried after transferring the money for it that maybe it would be a bit of a let down when it arrived - you know, the chase being better than the catch? On this occasion nothing is further from the truth :D
I think you'll be seeing a bit more of this on the Friday threads :)
Rich
Stunning Rich , where did you get it ?
Regards
Mark
I was talking to a fellow forum member about a SM200 I'd just bought from him, and I made the fatal mistake of asking (joking of course) whether there was anything else he was planning to sell.Originally Posted by markrichardsonno9

Love it :) Nearly as much as that Swordfish I saw on the forum last week :D
great find , wear it in the best of health :)
Ah, that made me pop the Motorhead track of the same name on the computer stereo!Originally Posted by Toshi
