Thank the Lord! I was getting the shakes. :D

Hmm Hmm - missed my TZ-UK fix

Top marks to tekkno (graham) for doing what he does well - and probably for free. Most likely just because he likes what the forum is and wants to help in a sticky situation.....

Hopefully the forum will be on a stable platform soon.

I think we now all appreciate what a GREAT SERVICE Eddie provides in terms of a valued open discussion forum to Wis's (and middle aged gents in general) worldwide. Keep up the good etc.

    Kudos Eddie (& Graham) 8)

I am now getting topic notification replies in my email, something which did not happen with the other software ... my impression or is this one more efficient? :)

There is a tension that grows insidiously when a trusted and well-used forum is down: it's like not being able to contact someone you like over the phone and worrying what's happened to them. All very strange for what is in almost every sense a virtual experience - except it's in our nature to trust those we like and having had the pleasure of buying from a number of you since I joined last October I know you're very real!

Thanks - and it is flying just now! :)

Fantastic! Back in business, my withdrawal symptoms were getting worse.

The culprit must have been the swiss watch companies after that discussion on this forum about china, manufacturing and the lot....

Ironically the last forum I regularly visit that had this sort of problem had been seriously hacked by the malicious.

I don't post much and know next to bugger all about watches, but I love browsing this forum and didn't realise quite how much until I realised it was offline. Hoorah that it's back and good effort, Eddie and Graham.

I won't tempt fate by trying to fix the little things that still don't work (clock, new registrations and perhaps more), I'll leave things as they are until the new install at the weekend.

The forum will be locked at some time so that a backup can be taken and when the new forum appears, it will have all the posts. That's the theory, anyway.

Good to be back, Eddie, and thanks to Graham for all your help.

My fiancee may think differently, though, when I tell her.
