Very nice Andy. I wondered what had prompted the big sell off!
    Enjoy it.

What's next - some selling off as you may have seen.

Any new purchases for the foreseeable are likely to be a lot less pricey.

Now Andy, you see that little pen that works the pushers check the fine nib at the end for being a tad loose, mine rolled off the bed side cabinet and the nib fell out and I lost it, it's about 2mm long, the replacement cost £250 quid for a new Pen. I'm told it's white gold and ebony.

    Enjoy.
The "pen" is a work of art in itself though. Love the crown at the end.

The dial is mesmerising. My Aquanaut (which is soon to go to it's new forum member owner) made way for this. Both great watches, but the 5712 does edge it over the 5167 and indeed the 5711.
Have a great day with yours, Andy.

I know. The cross sits atop the crown which looks just like the crown of the watch itself. A nice detail.

A beautiful watch, surely too beautiful to just be looking after it for the next generation instead of owning it. Thank you for sharing the photos.

I totally agree about being an underrated virtue. I've got rid of so many watches that I really liked but just weren't comfortable because they were too thick and heavy. I would rather have less water resistance and thinner watch then a massive chunk on my wrist that goes down to depths that I never will.

The shots with the box don't do it justice but the others really show what a gorgeous piece of artwork this is.

    Sincere congratulations.

After trying and owning dozens of watches over the years, the 5712a was quite simply the most comfy, best proportioned watch i ever put on.

And one of the most gorgeous.

However, i made the mistake of once trying on the 5712r... the rest is history!

I was recently offered a 5450p. That's doing my head in now...

The watch is thin and fairly light. The box and papers weight a couple of kg at a guess. Very substantial.

    Congrats Andy!

The photos are great too! I wonder how many 5712 and 3712 we now have on the forum?

    All the best,
