Is it a 7016/0?
Dial and hands look a bit fresh. Maybe its just had a sheltered life.
Oh 7528 on the caseback, same between the lugs?
Hi,
whats the verdict on this vintage late 60īs early 70īs Tudor Sub -is it ok or not?
Thanks :)

AFAIK all should be original so yes, it must of been sitting on a drawer unless it has been touched up, which I doubt(?). Supposedly its a 7016.Originally Posted by JasonH
Thanks,
I like that watch, and I like the movement as well (ETA 2483 as I can see). I usually dislike the Tudor with oyster case because they house a robust but uninteresting movement: the ETA 2824. Congratulations for what looks like a good catch!
Well... dont congratulate me yet mate, I havent payed it :lol:Originally Posted by angeche
I bought a fake Tudor Sub from a nice dealer in NY last summer - have a search on the MWR for my user name, and the thread should come up! Although the one I bought was a rose dialled model, and these seem to be the most faked. That looks nice, but I'm no expert! (Clearly, if I'm buying fakes!)
I have been informed that the dial is most likely a Rolex issued replacement dial from early 70īs.
I think the dealer is being a bit disingenuous declaring it as all original. sure the parts may be all Tudor/Rolex, but the watch was not originally sold like that. the dial and hands are definitely later replacements, and caseback is one usually seen on these either. Still , a nice piece at a very nice price(for today). I think all the potential issues are factored into the price.
I'm no expert but it looks too fresh to me
Its a nice looking watch but I wouldn't want to pay big bucks for it
Can you get a second opinion - maybe the dealer will agree to one if he has nothing to hide
