Terrible news. RIP Bill.
Just seen that Bill Paxton dead aged 61. Such a shame no age at all. He's been in some great movies over the years, RIP Bill.

Terrible news. RIP Bill.
Just read he was the only actor to be killed by a Terminator, Predator and Alien!
RIP Bill
RIP Bill - One of those memorable people. I know I shouldn't - but...

in Weird Science with Kelly Le Brock. Brilliant. An actor who could play different characters. Real shame.

marchingontogether!
I am genuinely saddened with this news. Whenever he was on screen he was fantastic and had a cracking CV. RIP.
I remember him most for his role in Apollo 13, for which he won a Screen Actors Guild Award.
RIP
Noooo, loved Bill Paxton's work. R.I.P Bill.
Shocked and saddened by this news.
Growing up he seemed to be in many of my favourite films of the 80's an 90's including my all time favourite Aliens in which he practically steals the film. Was watching him in a film last night too strangely enough - The Edge of Tomorrow which was thoroughly enjoyable and as usual all the better for his involvement.
RIP Bill
Just reading about Bill Paxton.
Forgot how many great movies he was in!
Aliens
Predator2
Terminator
True Lies
Titanic
Edge of tomorrow
Tombstone
A simple plan
Apollo 13
Twister
Commando
Weird science
Navy Seals
Trespass (remember that?)
Next of Kin (Liam neesons first big movie)
U571
Vertical Limit
And loads more!
Just someone like this guy as a cameo or supporting role in many 80's /90's films knocks half of these new nitwit actors who are lead roles into a cocked hat.

I think once all the actors of my generation 70's,80s90's all pass I probably just forget movies
I am 35 and find nearly every modern American film or blockbuster to me is dire , apart from a very select few that are modern westerns or different. The majority is crap in all genres sci fi, horror , action , gangster, all lame and tiresome

Great actor. Very sad...he was in most of my favourite films of the 80/90's never a leading man, but always brought something in his own style.

Oh that's so sad. What about his role as Fred Haise in Apollo 13? Surely one of the best films he was in - he was really excellent. I watched it earlier today, without even knowing he had passed. That's sort of freaked me out tonight....Spooky. As an Apollo missions fan and an Omega Speedmaster fan I am truly saddened. RIP.

Terrible news, he's been in some real cult classics, at one stage I could just about quote every one of his lines from Aliens, "stop your grinning and drop your linen"
RIP Bill.

'How do I get out of this chickenshit outfit?'
He appeared in some of my favourite films; Terminator, Aliens and to a lesser extent Predator 2, which I always find myself watching when they are screened on TV. RIP
