    Heads Up: Sunspel T's

All sale T shirts now £25 or less on sunspel.com. Sunspel widely regarded as the best quality t shirts available, and made in Long Eaton, Nottingham. Typically sell for £65. Time to stock up for summer?

I wear their Riviera polo's and absolutely love them - at this price I might try a couple of T's too

ETA: Spectral Gray polo at under half price, yep i'll take that as have been looking for that colour way in my local stockist and they couldn't get it! Thanks @neil62 for the heads up!

Thanks for the heads up just got a great black T for £25 for my birthday !

    Many thanks

Just ordered a couple of T's to see what the fuss is about

How do these come up size wise? Dependent on brand sometimes I'm small, others medium.

  12. #12
^^^ Well, for reference i'm about 184cm and 80kg - a medium Riviera polo comes out as being quite 'fitted' on me (but that is the way it's designed), the T's and other polos may be a looser fit for their size.

    I'm generally a polo man

Can't find spec for sizing though? Are they slim fit?

Would be interested in trying them out…

Thanks, sounds like I might be closer to a medium in that polo style.

Great heads up OP, thanks. I had one of these in a Chapar box sent to me once but balked at the cost of it, though I couldn't deny it was great quality. Time to give it a go.

Don't believe the hype. I have a handful and just had to throw one out - lightly worn, just outside 12 months old and developed a hole in the fabric (not at a seam). At this price maybe worth a try but not good enough at full price.

Polo man here too but in the pics they look a bit close fitting on some very skinny models.

Don't like them too tightly fitted as I don't like others feeling intimidated by six pack…. Prefer a looser less showy fit myself

Maybe we can do a few swaps between us on this thread if people order the wrong size? I've orders 4x medium in different colours.

I am a big Sunspel fan with loads of tshirts, shirts and Rivieras.

Pound for pound I am finding the David Gandy ones a little bit nicer fit although they do not hold the test of time as well.

Worth a look for the money.

I ordered 2 x XLs going on the measurements on their page, speaking to people on another forum it sounds like they'll be a bit big ...damn! :)

For typical "high street" garments I would agree with you, but IMHO these are in a different league and an absolute steal at £25. But each to his own.

Also a fan, but can't see anything I fancy in this sale. They certainly wear big. I wear xl in most brands and a large leaves me with lots of room with sunspel tees.

I had the same on a long sleeve t-shirt. However the loopback sweatshirt I have from them is wearing very well.

Stick to Primark kidda, lovingly made by children in Bangladeshi/Chinese sweatshops. These T-shirts are made in the UK by adults.

I love the irony of finding 'obscene' a £25 T-shirt on a watch forum.

When I clicked on 'Fabric and Care' one was made in Portugal and the other one in Turkey.

It's amusing that such a simple thread descends into the chaos that other simple threads descend into on this board ....... amusing and unreal at the same time, some heads need a wobble I think, in my opinion of course :)

The website makes a thing of the factory in Nottingham but the last Riviera polo I got ftom their Shoreditch shop was made in Turkey. If I had bought it online I would have thought I had been tucked up with a fake. I think they only manufacture a few special editions in the uk now

When things get personal is usually when people get annoyed. As I did. Anyway. These t shirts are no more made in UK than any other t shirt sadly.

Come on old chap. Its a discussion about t-shirts. You are taking this all way too seriously.
I prefer Kappa as they have two nudey ladies making the beast with two backs.

Every Sunspel i've owned was made in Portugal. Not sure how old the person was, though.

  46. #46
The T Shirts I bought arrived today in size Large, I would say the fit is accurate verging on a slightly fitted cut if anything

I'm usually a size large (42" chest) and these Sunspel ones are spot on

They seem well made but I certainly wouldn't pay £75 for one, I think £25 is good value though

Ordered a load of bits in XL then remembered I've lost weight! Hope they come up neat fitting

Thanks for heads up OP, I have 1 of their bits that I bought in the sale last year but wouldn't do RRP.

I’ve bought quite a few T-shirts and other items from Sunspel. While all of their other stuff has been excellent, particularly their shirts, the T-shirts have been disappointing. They look and feel great when new, but I suspect that a lot of this is due to finishes used during production of the fabric. Various substances are added to improve the handle and lustre. After a few washes I find that much of this is lost. Also, I agree that they can be short to begin with and become wider and shorter with a few washes. Not great.

If any of their Oxford or poplin shirts are in the sale, they are worth a look.

Mine arrived today, definately the best T I've ever had and had quite a few in my time.
Fits perfect to size and plenty of room for my beer gut which is unusual with so many slim fits these days.
Will almost certainly buy a couple more at full price now I'm so impressed.
