having read this thread i think it says way more about the op, than it does about the guy parking his car. he's doing nothing wrong or illegal(assuming vehicle is taxed tested and insured)

I think you need to hire a german nihilist group to, ahem - 'Have a word'
Nihilists? Say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism dude, at least it's an ethos...
Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig 2 graves.

best solution I've seen i this thread is go out and be super friendly chat every evening. Take up 10mins of his time. He'll soon park somewhere else.
^ I agree. Bring him a cuppa and some biscuits on a tray, compliment his clothes and haircut, suggest some nice activities - canoeing, darts, movies etc. Soon enough he will park elsewhere or actually be your mate.
It could be worse...

Ok, I can fully understand why opinion is split on this one. Completely appreciate the OP's frustration whilst getting why others see it as being petty.
We had a similar issue a few years ago. The OP is 'lucky' it's a Nissan Qashqai. In our case it was a Renault Espace from the 90s in a horrible light metallic green colour with brown interior! The car was in such a state it had brown packing tape around the driver's side window. I can only assume it was used to prevent the window from falling out! Anyway, I digress. I hadn't noticed but my beady eyed net twitching wife had noticed that the car would arrive on a Sunday evening and stay there all week before the owner would drive it off either Friday evening or Saturday morning. This was beginning to irritate my wife no end. She had also mentioned it to our neighbours who also began to get frustrated with the situation. As a result, I did some research and found a solution. Now it takes a while to implement but it did resolve the problem without causing any harm and, above all, is legal. We :drum roll: simply applied for residential parking on our street. Best thing we could have done. Now rather than having to battle for parking spaces around the local streets we always find parking within easy walking distance of the house. All this for about £150 a year in extra tax. Never saw that Renault Espace again.
I do appreciate that I live in London and our houses don't have the luxury of a drive which might make it harder to get approved by the local council but, let's face it, councils are open to new ways of raising money...
Now I don't condone this at all but if you need a quicker but illegal and immoral solution then I did read in a forum somewhere how someone was able to effectively buy a disabled certificate (which apparently are easy to come by) and request a disabled parking bay outside the house. I have to say I was appalled at what lengths people would go to to park their cars outside their house which, as has been mentioned, is a public highway.
There was a convoy of yellow cars driving through yesterday in support of him.

You phoned the council to complain that someone was parking in the street. Unbelievable what exactly did you expect them to do
at least he goes home. this bloody land rover is parked for 3 days already. Last time it was here 2 month ago and stayed for 3 weeks almost blocking exit.
Wish I had your problems

The problem with parking in the same spot everyday is that car crooks notice it is unattended and nick your number plates. If a car is reported to the police without plates they cannot trace the owner and will tow it away.
