    First sports Rolex

I'm sure there've been plenty but I saw a new Rolex GMT in the window of dealer for the first time today. Or at least the first time in over a year or so here in London. So it's come home with me. My first sports Rolex. Looks very pretty in the sunshine.

    First sports Rolex

Thanks. Something others may find interesting if they have big wrists is that I almost didn't buy it due to it looking small in the shop. I think the very bright light in the Dealership makes the watch seem smaller because Rolex glass seems to reflect more than others and it tricks the eye a bit, perhaps.

Anyway the upshot is that an hour so later and in natural light and it seems perfectly sized even on my big sausages.

Absolutely gorgeous piece OP, congrats. I tried one on recently and they are stunning. I very nearly bought one but am holding out for the BLNR. As you say, they are in no way small. Looks great size on you.

Ha ha! Yes it never came up but they did make a point of saying to me when they handed the watch over that they had left all of the stickers on. I hadn't asked or said anything on that subject.

Nice watch, well done. On another note my AD told me last Saturday they would never hand a watch over with the stickers, so bigger bonus.

    Then they can keep it.

Lovely watch OP, very nice indeed. I went out for breakfast this morning and the young kid on the next table had the same watch on.

    Lovely!

Thanks for so many kind words. The manager told me it arrived last night and was in the window today for exactly 75 minutes! Right place right time...

And so the decent in to madness begins

lovely watch especially i am thinking of getting one of these myself - to go with the other 2 Rolex GMT's I already had. Madness

So...should I keep these stickers with the box/papers when I take them off? This is a strange new world to me....

There's something about a sports Rolex that is hard to capture in other watches. The SD4K is my forever watch but if it wasn't for the PCL's i'd certainly be looking at that. Great choice. So much more timeless (pardon the pun as i'm sure timekeeping is great) than the BLNR....

Congratulations! Great acquisition. It's one of the most versatile Rolex sport watches. PCLs fancy it up just a bit for more formal settings but still holds its own for casual.

Yes make sure you keep everything. I bought a white dial milgauss last year to keep in the safe unworn, think I lasted a month before I removed the stickers. Best enjoyed on the wrist not in the safe!
