So you've got a good tan then?!
Any new watches bought over there? How are they priced compared to the UK? Or is it a horological desert?

Yes at least the weather is constant that side.
Are you enjoying some nice bacon and eggs for breakfast, and Pork chops on the barbi.
I'll be in Doha on Sunday. Well for one hour as a stopover on my way to Bali.
Excellent, with luck I will be in Manama in October for a few days. It's pretty warm in London atm so do not forget to bring your SPF50 Reimann ;)

Ah Doha, I remember in c. 1993 having my passport confiscated when landing there unexpectedly with a flight of fighters and ATAR tankers. Boy was it shit. Hopefully things have improved.
hell yeah, remember scooting through Doha back in 86' was on a mission to bring back some POW's missing since WWII, yep they called us Bravo Two Hero back then, ahh those were the days.
Cheers guy.
I'm back in sunny England.
So good to be back home even though it is for only two weeks.
Enjoy the weekend all.
Cheers all

I had a good view of Doha when landing there a week ago. A few concentrated skyscrapers on a spit of coast and then sand, sand and more sand. I'm sure the money's good for the expats out there. But, from what I saw, it would have to be.
I'll also be in Doha again tomorrow. This time for 1hr 15 mins, as a stopover on my way back from Bali.

Ah flew through this great hub last week (pre-issues...). Never spent any time on the ground though!
Sounds like you may not be getting back unless they get talking to SA and the UAE!
Luckily I have friends in airlines and charter companies!
There's certainly a lot of hoo-haa, and a lot of my teacher friends (looking forward to the end of their school year in 10 days or so) have been screwed by developments. Oh, you had tickets for teh family booked on Emitates? Tough.
There was genuine panic-buying yesterday at the shops. Something like 40% of Qatar's groceries come in by road from Saudi, and that border has been closed....
