Heads up: Alfa Romeo 4C lease deal

    Hi guys,

There's plenty of car nuts like me on here so thought I'd share this amazing deal I came across.
I was so close to taking this myself, but insurance killed the dream for me (£2k per year with a £4k compulsory excess!)

Alfa Romeo 4C. 24 Months. £345 per month. £3100 deposit.

When I inquired a couple of days ago there were 3 cars in the UK waiting to go and another 20 in Italy awaiting shipment.

    Holy moly that's astonishing!

Not for me right now, but so, so tempted...
So clever my foot fell off.

£11,380 for two years in a very average car.👎 These really are not selling, hence the deal.

honestly, I dont care if they are selling, that is a nice car, and an Alpha to boot, at a price most working folk can afford, even two mated chipping in together and keeping it for tracks days, bro days out...

seriously considering asking my mate, if he wants to come in on it.

This deal, and better ones, have been available on the 4C for awhile.

They aren't selling and the early cars having issues with the carbon tub cracking hasn't helped the perception of them in the marketplace.

But there is a reason why they are not selling. Poor execution by Alfa.

It's been said - these cars are sticking to the dealers like glue and they are having problems shifting them. Nice to look at and Mini-Ferrari vibe, but they are very harsh and unrelenting to drive, rorty exhausts, speed bump-clattering suspension and insurance will be high because if that tub is damaged you are always going to be into hugely expensive repairs. Alfa dealerships are not the best in the world either. (And don't make the error of letting your spillchocker correct the spelling to "Alpha")
Being a limited production car, some of the spares are very expensive and because the specification was a bit vague many of the owners were never really sure what they were getting until it arrived on their driveway.

If you can accept the compromises and potential problems then it is a pocket rocket for the price of a mid-range executive saloon. If you can't, it is best avoided and admired from afar.

At least on a lease you won't have the worry or hassle of trying to sell it on :)

Pretty weekend car for the the better half there! And lease so if you have the dreaded Alfa issues, just give it back!

I had a test drive, stunning but full on. I wanted sporty but everyday useable but this was far too harsh. Went for Mazda RF instead.

Really like the look of this car, but, as its an AR, I'm sure the door handles would fall off after 5 minutes!

Oh, tempting deal but don't see any more on the web link. I have the same engine in my guilietta cloverleaf and its fast, the 4c must be rapid. Awesome looking car.

Mrs IA had an Audi TTS which we both thoroughly enjoyed, and was very reliable, and the Quattro made it actually quite nifty in the snow a couple of years ago!
