The indices look crazy big, and the bezel too thin for me. Strange balance.
Not bad for $499.

Agree with whats been said already, however I do like the blue colour, vibrant.
I love that! Fantastic design all round. Maybe I'm a bit weird but that's one of the best looking new watches I've seen for a very long time.
Looks like an elegant Citizen Orca if such a thing could exist!
I agree that the bezel is a little thin but I like it overall. Killer lume and awesome crown design.
Based quite closely (oversized lume plots and solid disc hour hand) on a Breguet divers watch from the sixities.
is this what is called a "boutique diver" ?
I think it would have better charms if seen in vivo....
But .. the indices are too big..

A little quirky with the indices to bezel markers ratio, but strangely appealing. I'm guessing that it will wear fairly big with a narrow bezel like that, so for me a bonus.
That blue is stunning, I hope it matches in the metal as the camera and lighting can change appearance so much.
For that kind of money it could be a gem, or a lemon, only going to find out when you open the box.
I am a bit of a sucker for blue, are they still orderable?
Even with top photography it looks minging.
Buy it, open the box and I guarantee it won't look anything like those photos!

The indices are a little big, bit I find myself strangely attracted to it. Perhaps its just the shade of blue, but its growing on me.
Challenge accepted! Ordered. I'll post pics when it arrives. I bet the blue looks great.
I once owned the Squale Master blue with the same type of dial. Dark blue sunray blended to black at the edges. It was amazing. Too bad the watch was too big, but the Evant size is great. Squale does blue fume well.
I think apart from the comedy giant indices the rest of it looks lovely.
Are the indices on the Evant silver or gold coloured?
It's actually very nice!
To everyone bitching about the huge indices; if Rolex had done the same you would just call it maxi and rave about it till the end of time!

Oh, I really like that! Seems like extraordinarily good value, especially considering the price of ETA movements.
I actually like the look of this, but the lack of OEM bracelet puts me off.
For a blue dial watch with a thin bezel and big crown, I'd personally go for this:
In fact, I've been trying to find one for months but they're not exactly freely available.
Cheers Mark :-)
For me that looks too "normal". This Event has such a unique look, and obviously that will divide opinion. I instantly liked it personally, but something like what you've pointed out I just see as "another watch" if that makes sense.
As has been said many times though, it would be pretty boring if we all liked the same things.
That really appeals to me. The only thing I would change is removing the date.

The proportions on the dial are out.
Well I like it enough to take a punt, based on the Breguet 1646 Diver.

I've placed an order and Gnomon confirmed this morning that it'll carry my year of birth as the serial number :-) Shipping will take about three to four days and of course there is the dreaded VAT and duty.
On Gnomon's Facebook page there was a brief video demonstrating it and it really did look every bit as good as the photos. I guess the proof will be in the pudding etc, but this really appealed to me. Yes it looks a bit like the Spinnaker Cahill, but that is (I believe) a larger case at 43mm with only 200m of water resistance and a flat aluminium bezel, dropping to 100m on the 38mm version. I nearly went for the 38mm version in blue, but decided against it.
The Evant then popped up on my FB feed over the weekend. It looks far nicer than the Spinnaker and whilst it's a homage, it's not likely to be as common place as other homage watches.

Received it the other day. Stunning blue. Amazing watch for the price.
Well done,Peanut butter jelly.
It does look striking.
How is the lume?
Review soon but I love this. So much watch for the money!!!
Just had an email from Gnomon only 30 left. Mine arriving next week.
This is a very attractive and distinctive piece. Virtually an impossible task to achieve after 100 years of wristwatches.

No crown guards but more importantly no bracelet option? So a diver you can't get wet without ruining the strap? That's just weird

For sunburst blue 41mm and thin bezel with no crown guards I think I'd prefer this for roughly the same money (used)

The Pan Europ is also a stunning blue sunburst dial, needs a bracelet really and it's a bitch to fit one, took me ages to modify a yobokies beads of rice to fit, but worth it.
If only it was their own design, it's actually a straight lift from a very rare a Breguet 1646

It is a very distinctive and good looking watch though as you say, I was toying with the idea of a WTB for the black dial vintage version but might add the blue dial option to that just in case someone decides to move theirs on quickly.
