It's not really my scene, but everyone I know who has been says it is fantastic.
Ladies and gents of TZ,
I am looking for some recommendations of acts, shows or whatever to go to during the Fringe, I've never been but my partner and I shall be in the great city of Edinburgh Sat. 26th/27th and looking for recommendations.
Anyone been ? Anyone going ?
Thanks in advance

So clever my foot fell off.
I recommend you take an umbrella!
We were there yesterday and it rained, just like every other time I've been.
My son will be performing. If I get to see the act before they go I may recommend it.
It's just a matter of time...
I'm playing in a softball tournament there and will be around from Thursday to Monday, so also interested in recommendations. More into the science stuff than comedy and I know it's the wrong time of year for that which is a shame.
There are so many its difficult to choose, worth getting the Fringe App which tells you what other shows are close to you when you have finished watching a show. Also if you become a friend of the fringe there are some good 2 for 1 offers.
We did some of the walking tours in the morning then about 6 or 7 shows of all different types in the afternoon evening. They were all good in their own ways.
Enjoy

We were there last year to see the Tattoo and the fringe was on. We went to a couple of shows a goddaughter was in and they were great but there were so many on you'll be spoilt for choice. If it was me I'd just see as many as possible, also it's really busy everywhere at this time.
If you want you can catch the Scots marching bands marching out of the Tattoo with bagpipes swirling down the street from the castle at the end of the Tattoo on the 26th, late at night not sure what time they finish but worth seeing.

Get a festival guide from high street or market street festival offices and see what takes your fancy given your interests.
Obviously you'll never do it all or even a small %age so follow your instincts. On any day it's sunny, simply go up high street between George iv bridge and the bridges. Watch the street theatre.
Have a great time. There's nothing like it anywhere else in the world.
Don't forget the old reliable, the tootaa 🙄🙄
Should have said, the main reason we are going is for the 10.30 Tattoo.
