Commonly, the watches listed on Chrono24 are still on there, unsold, for one very simple reason!

You can view Sales Corner if your post count is 50 or more and you have been registered as a member for 60 days or more. You can post in Sales Corner if your post count is 250 or more and you have been registered as a member for 180 days or more.

You can send a PM to the seller though, most of the buyers do that anyway.

My personal experience of Blowers has been variable. In the early days of my watch buying and selling career they were great but recently I've found their part ex figures to be way below what other similar online establishments were offering, or they weren't even interested in what I was selling at any price. Clearly this is only my limited experience and opinion. You may find them much more equitable.

Don't I know it. Pick my IPad up 6 in the morning wanting nothing really and before I know it I have spent a couple of grand.

Since they opened the London shop they now have a lot more overheads which reflects in there stock, more upmarket and a lot less pieces. I used to love browsing their stock loads of Subs Speed and Sea Masters now a couple at most. Don't really visit their site anymore. I did buy three watches in the past and it was always good.

    presitge watches

prestige watches is an ebay shop
has a great range of watches
bought a monza off him few months back
top chap and the watches are minters
based in ormskirk area if you decide to go face to face
also you can make offers which he will do as long as you are sensible

also sc on the watch forum and christopher ward forums as no ebay fees so cheaper and buying from fellow nutters is a much safer and fun experience

    good luck with your search

I've used Dream Watches and Blowers before with no issues. Both great to deal with.

I can say for certain a that the Royal Exchange in London is not a good place to buy used from on a Saturday since it is closed!!!!

Wish I had thought that might be the case before I walked here from Waterloo!!

The real problem is the high prices demanded by companies like Watchfinder and Blowers; way above the market rate. With their high overheads they need high margins, and we pay. That's why I think it worth waiting to use sales corner. You pay less, and you will buy from the owner of the watch. That matters.

Yeah, but you have to be lucky to get first dibs on a watch in SC. using other outlets allows you to browse and try watches that are available.

Worth revisiting on a weekday. You will be spoilt for choice. Royal Exchange Jewelers (located on the outside nearly opposite Bank Of England) always has some nice Rolex. Last I was there he had two BLNR's, one of which was a 2017 model.

Watchfinder is also good to browse.

Forums are awesome but of course check the reliability of the seller

I have bought and sold watches through Xupes, and purchased watches, Omega deployants and straps from Banks Lyon in Lancaster. Both gave good service and value for money.

Without service history it might be 'cheap' for a reason, I haven't used them but HM's shop seems to be the only place with honest / genuine descriptions online. See so many 'mint' watches with highly polished bracelets / lugs that even a novice like me can spot.
