Plenty available on VRM etc. I think even directly from Rolex.
I've got my eye on a vintage red sub but it has no cyclops, it's fitted with a plexiglass top hat I've read that this is accepted with the 1680, what are the chances of obtaining the correct glass if I want the cyclops, are they made of plexi can you still get them or do you have to make do with the modern sapphire.
Everything else about the watch the boxes.

they are still the cheapest part of the watch to find too!
can't beat a nice top hat can you on a 1680...
I would imagine that service replacements are easy enough to source. Original non-service ones less so.
This is the dial
Matching hands and dial, a little spotting on a few plots, no cyclops but it's not the only one. 93150 & 580 ELinks. Faded bezel MK3.

I wouldn't say its a deal breaker... the faded bezel gives it 'the look' and if the serial number matches a MKIV and the price is right I would jump on it
the case lugs and shoulders look good and not too overpolished - lume on the pip seems newer but again minor detail.
Mine has lots of spotting on the lume - i've seen this a lot on 1680s not so much on earlier 5513s though

Big question is do you want a genuine Rolex plexi. I've got a Sternkreuz one on mine.
Some beautiful watches with great looking patina, I do really want one.
