A sick individual.
Glad to hear he has been found and I hope the punishment reflects the crime. Sadly I doubt it will though.
What a nut job!

One has to note that he was only 'big enough' to take on a woman, and not a man.
What a total chump.
Did I read that he then jogged back past her, she tried to engage with him but he blanked her and jogged off? Complete nut case, wonder if he also cycles as he seems to have a similar chip on his shoulder to that of some London cyclists.
F.... ing WTAF!
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
I saw this yesterday, and she isn't even in his way. He seems to swerve to deliberately get at her.
Patrick Bateman?
So clever my foot fell off.
Very much doubt a prison sentence will be involved.
A lot of joggers think they have right of way on the footpath and more dangerously on the road.

This is a completely bizzare atttack, I cant help but think drugs were involved. Ice etc can make you very aggressive from the little reading I have done. I read on a local forum just yesterday about a fellow who was describing how, whilst walking in Snowdonia, a man passing the other way struck out at him. He managed to avoid the punch but said when he challenged the aggressor he was obviously under the influence of semething
Thing is, the woman wasn't even in his way - he passed the previous guy and she was demonstrably heading to her left so that he could pass easily - the arse just went for her rather than deflect his path one iota..
I think he will do time for it.
So clever my foot fell off.
I guess that if he is contrite and his lawyer brings up as many mitigating factors as possible such as his wife leaving him, bankruptcy alcohol or drug problems with the promise of getting treatment things might go easier for him.
And how the judge feels about it all I guess.
It could be a short trip to the clink to make an example of him or a suspended sentence or fine and some community service.
These things are hard to predict bearing in mind what happens in fairly serious cases when the outcomes appear bizarre.
Bizarre isnt it.
I am not holding the US legal system up as any sort of high standard here, but over there this would be attempted-murder or some other high level charge and he'd get a ridiculous amount of time - 15 years +. I have a passing interest in US legal cases, and they really are draconian over there. I'm not sure it keeps crime down though!
Hopefully the womans husband has a rugby playing (Forward) friend who coincidentally 'bumps into' the bloke one day so that he knows how it feels.
Funny how he manages to avoid the blokes yet swerves to hit the woman. What an utter coward/bully.
He seems to think the path he's on is either for Joggers only or for people going in his direction.
Personally, I'd like to see his life ruined for this - Just sheer luck she didn't go under the bus - He's not safe on the streets...
Of course, he may actually be mentally ill, in which case he needs treating - Broadmoor would seem appropriate for a spell.
M.
If he were black, successful and financially solvent enough to hire a quality defence team would he go straight to jail?
I'm interested to hear why he did it. I really can't imagine why, unless it's his wife. Does it look like she stuck out her leg towards him before he pushes her?
"A man of little significance"
New twist - the employer of the bloke arrested claims he was abroad at the time:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...doing-job.html
Whoever he was, he was a complete @@@@
Seems it was an American investment banker
American Psycho for real !
Looks to me like she tried to trip him, he stumbled and reacted. Could be wrong though.......

To me it looks like it was an accident - neither saw the other. His arms seem to come up in an instinctive reaction after they've made contact.
Doesn't excuse him not stopping immediately to check that she was ok
I've watched it a few times now and the jogger definitely just pushes her. Her leg goes up because she's suddenly off balance. She might have said something to him though? Doesn't excuse the action and I suspect he was simply pi55ed off she didn't move out of the way of his running line. He probably didn't even mean for her fall, but every action has a consequence. You can see him glancing back so he knew she'd fallen.
I think the bus driver deserves a medal for his/her reactions though.
Looks to me like her leg is extending after the impact...
The last couple of strides he takes are definitely toward her, looks intentional.
The question is 'why?'. Very odd. There's some strange folk out there.
I have to add a 'bravo' to the bus driver. His or her reaction was immediate and precise, bearing in mind there's a vehicle moving alongside the bus. There isn't a lot of room in those lanes on Putney Bridge.

... aaaand he's free again after succesfully showing that he wasn't in the UK on the day this happened.
Precisely, and I reckon he may well be able to afford some rather good legal professionals.
