    Interesting read, thanks for that Doug. I think that whatever happens the price of watches seems bound to increase. :(

    It still is interesting Doug,

    it was nice to read

    the way the Swatch group is trying to dominate the business is worrying;
    I am still waiting to see what influence this will have on the medium priced brands that are not owned by Swatch or a related 'luxury items brand' (LMVH e.a.)
    For many of those the availability of decent priced good quality Ebouches is essential .... and new manufacturers will make the playing field far more interesting...

    Thanks Doug, makes interesting reading.
    Luckily little manufacturers like Nomos, and if we can believe the latest news Mühle are busy developing their own movements.
    So there is still hope in that direction.
