    Survival capsule...

Never been in a situation where I would need one, but I think I'd be just as scared of the thing getting trapped under water and running out of air!

CO2 scrubber and an O2 add system, you would be fine!

What happens if it falls over onto it's door, or something heavy falls in front of it?

I bet v2 has two doors. One door, who'd have thought it. I thought these people were supposed to be clever?

Just don't go inviting Swedish journalists to join you in one, it'll end in tears

    Peroxide, yes.

So it floats in water, always staying the right way up. That's good, except the right way up puts the bottom of the door under the water line. You'd need to be pretty quick getting out in deep water

Just about to fly but will do a quick one.

canister or container to hold sofnalime, with a fan at one end to drawer the air through it, this takes the CO2 out the atmosphere, then a simple bottle of O2 with a bit of piping and gauge to add to the atmosphere when you need it.
if anyone wants one building we can come to an arrangement

as for ablutions, just do it into plastic bags and tie the tops.......tight.

I would have thought that 2 hatches, one at the top and one the side plus a snorkel with robust closure valve would have been on the design brief.

For simplicity, just use a moveable ballast weight so you can adjust the angle, that way by putting it opposite the door, the door will remain upmost.

One hour of breathable air! Great, so long as the music from the video isn't playing otherwise the humans inside will all kill each other....

But wouldn't you still need a second hatch in case as mentioned previously it became wedged in a certain position?

How far do you go with back up?, three hatches if two wedge etc. Always a happy medium in safety and keeping integrity of the sphere.

The capsule survived the drop test, but is now full of strawberry jam. I also feel sea sick just watching it bob about on calm water. You'd be 'safe' from any water outside, but would drown in the vomit inside the capsule.

I hope they have a transponder in case they are hidden in debris!

Pretty much guarantee that one, I wonder how they would be deployed though: permanent installations like a station? Or dropped by helicopter in emergency situations..
