The REAL fight of the year. GGG vs Canelo

So after the circus in which an old man and a clown had a choreographed dance then giggled merrily as they held hands and skipped all the way to the bank, the boxing is taking centre stage this time.

Gennady Golovkin, a relentless machine carved from granite is taking on the hugely talented Saul Alvarez in a real clash of styles. A brave move from Alvarez having stepped up to this weight but I don't see many others in the division as being a massive threat to him... except GGG.

It's got to be Golovkin for me, his power and toughness will win the day here. Maybe a shame for those who are into the artistry that Alvarez has in his bag but it is a combat sport and Golovkin has his own abundance of talents. KO win for Golovkin, I just can't see any other outcome although it won't be a walkover.

Got all the makings of a good tear up, unlike the last 'biggest' fight ever. Does anyone know if its being shown on tv on any channel ??

I'm expecting one helluva fight! Triple-G has to be the favorite, but Canelo has a lot of juice in his fists, so anything can happen.

Both great fighters, but I cant get over how sharp Canelo was in his last fight and so it has to be Canelo for me. The guy didn't even need to sit down in between rounds!

I would normally have said Canelo, but I was so sure he was going to beat Floyd and he didn't.

It has the making of a great fight, looking forward to it.

You don't need circus acts to sell a fight like this. I can't wait, two extremely good, humble fighters going head to head. Proper boxing.

    GGG for me

Canelo after a war inside the distance.
    10th or 11th round stoppage.

    PPV on BoxNation I believe.
Should be worth the £20 this one.
Also going for Golovkin due to his fearsome speed and power although Canelo has come on leaps and bounds since he was given a boxing lesson by "the old man "
