    Rolex on Ebay - Real?

    Hi guys,

Just seen this on the bay and was wondering if people think it's real? I have no idea, but I compared it with the pictures on the rolex website and I'm not sure the cyclops is magnifying enough and the top crown on the rim of the dial doesn't line up with 12 as it does on the Rolex website.

    Thoughts?

Dear oh dear, I’m no expert, but that certainly doesn’t look right. Even the colour of the gold doesnt look right! Seller doesn’t have a single review, probably first foray into eBay, I’m stunned that so many people have placed a bid on that...

Didn't realise Rolex did a gold coloured version :)
Also isn't the hang tag the wrong colour for a 2017?

Those crown guards are doing a spectacular job of failing to protect the crown!

Rolex does make a gold version; however, the crown guards just look plain wrong.

    Doesn't accept refunds......there's a surprise!

Isn't that made of gold though, rather than being gold coloured?

I'm not very good at spotting Rolex fakes, but this is an easy one even for me

    I looked at the sentence,

"Note: I will not accept refunds"

Surely he means " I will not GIVE refunds" ?

    Seems like a right idiot!

The word "this" in the OP is the link; hover over it.

I'm not very good at spotting the fakes. I've seen many that would have fooled me...... But this one is rubbish and wouldn't even fool me.

eBay is a minefield at the best of times - but without a single seller rating and not accepting refunds you'd have to be mental to have a punt on this surely?!?

That looks fantastic. I wish he had more than one in stock since I'd be interested in buying at least three, one for wearing, 2nd to be a safe queen/investment, 3rd I'd flip on watchuseek for double the money straight away.

Thanks for that, a combination of reading this on my phone in sunlight and being colour blind.

I've added it to my Watched list on eBay, I'll be interested / alarmed (in equal measure) to see what this sells for and if the seller receives subsequent feedback.

Are you kidding?? Look at the crown alone. This is worth £20 on the beachfront market in Penang.

    Here's a real one:

    https://www.miltonsdiamonds.com/watc...SABEgKJhvD_BwE

I've messaged him and told him it's fake. It needs reporting by as many people as possible as well. I can't believe people are bidding

    Reported an hour ago.

Still there - how does this have 35 bids at that price? On a zero-rated buyer with those pics? When rolex.com is available (by way of the most basic "spot the difference") on the device that the bidders are using?

I am currently the high bidder.... I have entered a max bid of £55,000

(only to stop someone getting stung, mind... I have also reported it to eBay)

Either someone's got the same idea or there are more nutters out there than I expected. Bidding is currently at £54,100

Reported and sent him a message saying I've informed the police. No longer listed now so either eBay took it off or he got cold feet. Hopefully someone has been saved from making a terrible error of judgement bidding on that piece of crap. Suppose this monstrosity could turn up again under a new seller profile though.

I presume the seller was cancelling the OTT bids... I'll have to go for a more subtle amount next time.
