I may be wrong, but that looks like a Pottinger.
Saw this pic posted on a previous thread, anyone know who make them?

They remind me of one of gasgasbones' straps.
Strap two in this post: http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=45277
A great match for that Lemania whoever did it.
Cheers,
Neil.
There is only one person I know and trust who could make this strap.
His name is Eddie Hubbard, he is a Master Leather Worker, he is a good friend of mine, and he is the only person who makes my Spur Straps, and any other custom leatherwork I need. He makes chaps, leather belts; leather cuffs, and watch straps.
He does everything by hand, no machines, from cutting to stamping, to hand engraving to sewing…each hole before, being stitched with hand-waxed string, is punched by hand…sounds easy, but this is saddle leather that is in some areas a quarter inch thick! He makes everything to last a lifetime.
The close ups are of a set of two different Spot Spurs Straps, that he recently hand made for me, they are VegTan leather, and they are hand lined (inside with the same leather you are looking for in that strap), Hand Cut, Hand Stitched, Hand Tooled, Hand Carved, Hand Applied Spots, Hand Dyed (Two Colors), Hand Polished, Hand Hounded, and Hand Rubbed to Sheen.
You can see the attention to detail that Eddie ensures, that no one, not even the owner, will ever see.
Eddie is by far the best leather worker I know. He only uses the finest leather as well, which is all Full Grain Belting Leather…hand selected.
His email is 1ehub@bellsouth.net
Give Eddie an email, he is honest, and fair, and guarantees satisfaction!
Excuse the dust and dirt on both my spurs photos!

It could be Jurgens of Germany, sold by Watch obsession in the UK; also found on the PX of the Broad Arrow forum.
Ah......I think a comment on the thread was " looks like one of AP's starps", who is AP / Pottinger, does he have a website?Originally Posted by Fuzuli
That's my Lemania and, yes, it was AP who made the strap for me. He can be PM'ed through the forum.
He has a Seiko for sale in the Sales Forum now.
Here's another one on my Omega 6B/159 -
Thanks David,
After asking on many forums for pics of original WW2 straps and getting no feedback, I'm sure this is as close as it gets....congrats on the Lemainia, and doubly on the 6B, it looks amazing!!

Hi John,
I would indeed, I am interested in both British & American, army, navy & airforce, in both leather & canvas (I guess nylon nato type came later in the 50's)

Pigskin - for all?

Yes, the watch (Omega and the Lemania) are great watches (Davide's)
Thanks regarding the strap :)
AP.
I was just being general ... you show me the exact watch and I'll give it a shot. There were no rules ... but you can play around authenticity or straps that just look right.Originally Posted by aliasrichmond
