    Paintball equipment advise

Do we have any regular paintballers here ? In particular ones that buy their own equipment !

I'm looking to buy some equipment for my son for Christmas and some advise on what I need to be looking at, brands, reputable online sellers, what equipment would comprise as a starter kit ?

Thanks for any good advise received

First Tip, buy a good mask, with good ventilation and a thermal lens. Being able to see is a game changer, no matter how long you've been playing.

I think a second hand Tippmann A5 is the perfect beginner marker, but not everyone wants to buy 2nd hand as a gift. The built in feed system means that a paintball is ready every time you pull the trigger. That's a bigger deal than you might think, especially for a beginner.

Tippmann's entry level Cronus is based on the venerable M98C, its cheap and a very reliable design. Not as nice, or as fast as the A5, but it will get the job done.
