I am sorry to hear it Ryan. :(
Any insurance?

Devistating day today. Got home to find the place robbed. They took the TV, some cufflinks, and, of course, the watch collection. Modest by most standards - a Tutima FX GMT, a Mido, a vintage Bulova Accurtron Diver, Oragne Seiko Diver, a few others, but the cream of the crop were my Speedbirds. If any turn up, please let me know. Thanks.
Speedbird I #113
Speedbird II "Goldbird" Cream dial
Speedbird Chrono #091
I'm glad no one was home and that more wasn't stolen, but I have to admit, when it comes to watch collecting, this is a bit of a spirit-breaker :(

Every watch a story.
That is terrible news. Very happy to hear that nobody was home at the time and that there weren't any injuries.
That sort of invasion really bothers me. :x
Sorry to hear it mate. Hope the police can recover something, or at least that insurance will pay out.
Bad luck - hope you manage to get something back. :(
Thanks for the sympathy. Sadly, no insurance (we just moved out to the West Coast last summer)... and I'm not exactly holding out hope for the police to recover anything. Oh, and just to top off my day, I was notified by the credit card company that there were some suspicious charges on my credit card earlier this month. What is going on?!?!?!?!?
Sorry to hear about that Ryan,
regards
siggy
whoever did that must be hit on the head with a 1000m Seiko
I'm sorry to hear of this Ryan :(
I suspect that they'll shift the goods quickly and so keeping an eye on the collectors market and pawn shops in the PNW might yield something. There are are number of PNW members here and on other forums (especially WUS) who should be willing to help. Unfortunately, I'm unable to at this time :|
Edit: not only WUS (who have a Stolen/Lost Watch sub-forum), but I'd make a post on any and all watch forums. These are collectible pieces (especially the SB1) and will turn up in the collectors' world sooner or later.
This is very sad to hear, as you say the only good thing is that nobody was home when the b@$tards broke in.
Sorry to hear this.
Best wishes,
Bob
Also sorry to hear of this. As some of your pieces are not that common (especially the SB1) they are easier to spot on the 2nd market, hopefully this'll be the case & the thieving b*stards will be caught & get what they deserve.
/vince ..
Nuts! Hope you get some resolution.

That's really bad news, sorry to hear. It isn't just the cost, it's the irreplacability of the birds as well.
As others have said, keep an eye out on the local and internet S/H markets. Hope they turn up for you.
Best Regards - Peter
I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
Sorry to hear this news. Hopefully some or all will be returned safely

Sorry to hear this. I hope the thieves rot in hell.
Best,
Damn that sux! Hope it can be recovered, or at the very least that insurance pays out. But that's little consolation for the heartache.
Sorry to hear that. Indeed that is my nightmare...................
That's terrible. Hope you recover some of your things. Goo luck.
