Looks like there may well be a conflict here with the 3rd match between Edinburgh and Glasgow Warriors that evening at Murrayfield, so currently I’m likely to be more of a “probably not” than a “maybe”.

Slightly OT, and i'm only responding to put a stop the unnecessary debate about a previous gtg.
a) Since I was responsible for getting guys to/from airport, hotel and to the venue safely with a substantial amount of stock on them, it was my primary concern that they'd get to Edinburgh and back to switzerland safely.
b) As a result of the first point, there was going to be a reduced list of people attending so that things were entirely more manageable without having randoms sauntering in at various times.
This was actually brought after a previous gtg where concern was raised that there was probably a house or two thrown in a big pile!!!...temptation for the wrong kind of person if you don't know who's coming and going.
Let's be honest, not everyone makes an effort to get to know everyone else (i'm guilty of this too), some people do, but some don't.
c) So due to the second point, I stipulated for security reasons folk had to know other members fairly well "in real life" and strictly no plus ones, or hangers on.
I.E. verv's been round mine quite a bit, I've been for coffee a few times with 33JS, known animalone since forever, and alanski88... well we've been know to get smashed together :) and from there it grew from there until the spaces were taken up.
d) It was organized, and exectuted in under week a two. With more planning and some basic ground rules, maybe we could have had a wider audience, hindight and all that.
I knew from the start there were going to be people that would be upset that they missed out or felt they were singled out to not get invited, but there's a huge difference between a few forum members meeting for casual drinks, and having reps from a company flying out specially to show of their wares. Hence why was quite open in the original thread as to why there was a limited list of people who attended (which seems to have gone unnoticed)
So, if we can lay that to rest it would be greatly appreciated,
Lets just look forward to a few beers, nice watches and chat.

Ha ha ha there's always summer ;)
By then i might have the cosmic green Pionner!
I may be back in May for two days and then again in June for a week. Sorry I'll miss this one. I'm sure it will be a cracker.
Hope the green Pioneer gets added!

Well said!
Unfortunately mate I'm going to have to drop out of this now
Something far more interesting has come up, but can't tell you about it because it is a secret
Joking aside, I'll tell you about it later.
I hope everyone that can attend has a good time make sure you have a drink for me
Is there still Room for a large small one please??
Jim
just bumping this, since there's a few spaces left in case anyone is fancying coming along :D
Not gonna make this one kids but have a fab time!
Having met a few of the lads on previous GTG’s in Edinburgh, I’m a bit gutted I can’t make this one.
I have just realised it must be nearly 8 or 9 years since the last one I attended. It was before we moved house in 2010.
Hope those attending have a great time.
Dave
I’m likewise looking like I can’t make it. A long time colleague is departing, and we have a leaving event the same evening. Most likely very close by, annoyingly. A bit gutted, as was looking forward to this
Really disappointed that I couldn’t make this, as a newbie I would have loved to put some faces to names and gained some more knowledge of this pastime, hope everyone has a good time
Hi,
I am going to have to drop out. Apologies, have fun!
That should be most people PM'D
In case I missed anyone who's wanting to attend, let me know as I got a bit turned around skipping people due to their full mailboxes
numberjack could you empty your inobox?
likewise 33JS (although you know the details, and I could text you lol)
Emptied now.
Really sorry that I can't make this one gents.
Hope you have a good evening.
I'll no longer be able to attend annoyingly... Next time! C
Wanted to introduce myself here ahead of the get together this weekend, I'm Nwokoj's +1. Have been watching the forum for some time thanks to him and now finally signed up.
Looking forward to the get together.

Thanks for the evening Mike, was nice to put some faces to names and talk watches for the night.
Was good to meet some new folk, and play with some fancy toys, even if i was dying from running about london all week.
Great watch chat as always, and err the drinking that followed :O
Who had the Lange? :O
Yep, thanks again, Mike. Another fun night. Shop hospitality and goodies on display was a lovely treat.

Thanks for inviting me. Great pleasure to meet some more watch lovers.
(I was the one with the Lange)
Gotta agree that Lange was stunning, thanks Philostan for bringing a bit of class to the evening :D
Did anyone take any pics? or were we too busy drinking :P
Drinking Mike tbh. Although I took a couple of pictures between the drinks

Some lovely watches on display all day and night. The Lange was a particlar bonus for me having really liked their watches for a while despite never actually trying one in (it didn't disappoint!). Also getting an "extended trial" of the platinum Daytona wasn't to be sniffed at either
sincere apologies for no show.
Jim
Another thanks to endo for organising. As a newbie it was my first GTG and I had a great time. Some outstanding watches on show. Special mention for the Platona, 40mm ltd edition Blancpain and SLA017. I could go on....
Plenty beer and great watch chat, what's not to like!
For anyone wondering what became of the pension pot, I plundered the reserves and spent it on a burrito and a taco at 3am. The burrito was disgusting. The taco was barely acceptable. All shareholders will be reimbursed at a rate of 20p in the pound at the next meeting of the board.
Thanks again to Mike for organising!
Lawyer but she seemed keen on a career change into a more adult oriented entertainment industry
Don't remember what watches they were all wearing ?

Great fun day out as usual with the gang
Thanks endo for getting us all together and lashed as per usual :)
