Travel Help please? Getting from Shannon or Dublin to Galway

Using the combined grey matter of TZ.....

I need to get to Galway from either Shannon airport or Dublin airport. Has anybody actually done either of these journeys? Does anybody have any recommendations on the quickest and most hassle free method? This doesn't include jumping into a taxi and forking out the GDP of a small country.

I’ve driven it before with a hire car but I believe there’s a bus service from the airport to Galway
