If Henderson was taking a penalty he’d pass it back!

The England boys are going to be black and blue. Looks like the ref should have gone to Specsaver and the opposition were coached by an Italian defender from the 80's.

    Disapointing to say the least.

Mans game innit. Chopper Harris wouldn’t be worrying about that! What’s missing for me is a sense of urgency. All very pedestrian.

Very poor performance from the ref...and a very poor 2nd half from the England team.

Job done, not beautiful, but when Kane isn’t brought down by some Greek-Roman wrestling, they can’t hold them.

Right result at the end I think. Disappointing game to watch though. Play acting and wrestling from the opposition. A ref? Hmmm, I have my own private views.

Too many passengers to do that. Ok, Alli was injured but Lingard and Rashford, no.

Video ref my arse, if used this way I’d rather have Meerkats as refs.

Bloody typical just watched all but last few minutes on a train surrounded by Aberdeen's Girl Guide's OAP's laughing at me constantly being put through the wringer and then laughing and wishing me well as I walked off only to get to hotel and find England had actually bloody won lol...
Have to say the ref and VAR team were a disgrace tonight, hope they get pulled from doing another game...

There seem to be a few dubious refereeing appointments in this WC. I think it's possibly another example of merit giving way to diversity.

Sterling poor. Lingard needs to learn to finish. Rashford looked good. So did Loftus-Cheek. Trippier good delivery. Stones did well. Kane could carry us through.

Well done Mr. K., cracking goals. Standard 'watching England tension' in between though. Nearly woke my boy up when the second went in, managed to half swallow the cheer.

Definitely the ref made the game closer than it was. England should have been out of sight in the first half. That penalty was so soft though..

What was interesting about that penalty was that Pickford was getting help on which way the Tunisian penalty taker shoots. You can see Young going towards the bench and getting the info and then signalling to Pickford he was going to shoot to his left (Pickford's right). He almost saved it.

Early on I heard the commentator say that this was some of the best football he's seen in the tournament so far, must have been the first match he's seen. They don't half get carried away, an hour later he's saying England are pedestrian and lack a decent controlling mid-field player.

Pretty standard performance average performance I'd say, scraped a win against a team that didn't seem to want to win.

Did they have the VAR system turned off in the Tunisia half? Surely two blatant penalties missed. Not a bad overall performance I think but they'll have to up their game, especially in finishing as the tournament progresses.

Not bad for the youngest England team since 62. Ashley Young had a shocker imho.

Certainly room for improvement, and still 3 points better than Germany and 2 points better than Argentina, spain, Portugal. Certainly better than NL and Italy

Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

A win is a win. Some dreadful refereeing, two clear cut penalties.

My expectations are tempered, this is a really young squad (only Henderson and Sterling with prior WC experience) who can still improve a lot.

There’s no big ego superstars in this England camp for the first time in ages and so perhaps this will nurture good team spirit.
