The later seasons weren't bad, but not as memorable as the first generation - was one of the new ones in Cuba as I seem to recall?
Reading other responses I have to +1 to Frasier. I very much doubt there will be anything as funny in that style again, very dry and quite grown up comedy, but with a very welcome dose of slapstick thrown in. I can't decide if I envy or pity the chap.

+1m on Frasier too, made a point of recording the complete series when C4 were showing it mornings a couple years ago (think it's still on now, they started over). Absolute genius writing, I made a point when visiting the 9/11 memorial to seek out creator/producer David Angell's name, not ashamed to say I had a had a lump in my throat.
Pleased to see mentioned somewhere COUPLING, that is a hidden British gem circa. 2000. The one with the girl on the train with the wooden leg is pure gold, highly recommend seeking it out.
Great, but bettered perhaps by the episode in the bar where the second half of the episode has, word for word, exactly the same script but in a different context. Very funny & clever.

30 Rock, arrested development, green wing, black books, parks and recreation.
I don't know if it will age very well, but I can't get enough of "The Thick Of It"; Malcolm Tucker is just fantastic. Added bonus points for the show hiring a "swearing consultant".

I agree, 'Camping' is superb. And JD's 'Hunderby' is excellent too.
I'd also recommend Charlie & Daisy May Cooper's 'This Country' - very funny.
All my favourites already mentioned but one not mentioned that used to enjoy was Malcolm in the Middle.
15 storeys high. BBC with Sean Lock. I think the series struggled due to obscure time slot. But the reviews all back it up as a good series. I hope I'm not the only one to have seen it.

Watched young ones again recently and it hasn't aged well. Still very much of it's time, but emotive for me as was out around the time I was at uni.

Phoenix Nights still makes me laugh as does the Office. Only Fools and Horses was the best for me though.
Curb Your Enthusiasm is great as well. Watched the first 3 series years back and got back into it after watching a couple of episodes on a flight last year.
I'd agree with many here, haven't seen The Good Place mentioned, though. If you haven't seen it, watch it. (It's on Netflix.)

Frasier. Still funny over 20 years later, and it hasn't dated as badly as some from the same period.
The only ones I can think of that I don't see mentioned are Green Wing and A.L.F.
Some excellent programmes have already been highlighted, I would just like to add, from modern times, Detectorists and Big Bang Theory.
I would expect Men behaving badly has already been mentioned. Watching that as a young adult in the late 90's was fantastic. I still I enjoy it now.
My other favourite is unlikely to have been mentioned and that's Wilfred, made by SBS in Australia about ten years ago. An absolutely brutal, crude comedy about a dog that thinks he is a man and life with his owners. True piss yourself comedy. The Yanks bought the rights and remade it but they had to tone it down and changed the gist of the show to the point where it was dull.
Not seen The Detectorists mentioned as a very recent one.
