I just found this old photo and zoomed in it could be either side of 1980,I would have bought it from the NAFFI in Germany [didnt we all].
This is from the days when I just bought a watch and wore it non stop,if it broke I would just get another one but not expensive.
Any idea what it is?
Tough question I don’t even remember it myself.
Bwest76 - looks like a Seiko 6309-7040, very cool pic!

My newly restored 6309-7040 arrived today.
Really pleased with it!
Damn you guys!
Went in to get a few batteries and walked out with this.
It actually wears a lot smaller than I had anticipated. For the price really pleased with this one. New here in Canada is the equivalent of £300.

Birth year and month watch, really liking this. Solid 7548 quartz movement, grippy bezel, Kanji day display. Has aged better than me...
Have a reproduction Z199 bracelet on the way to complete the vintage look.
Managed to get the SLR out for a better pic of this pair...

Had this years and love it just wish the bracelet was original instead of this poor fitting thing

My skx keeper for sure😉
Seiko Presage SARX041 not usually supplied on bracelet so I stumped up for it...
I’ve been wearing this one all weekend - Gen 1 Monster, still very hard to beat!

And with another couple of favourites in the sunshine
A recently acquired 6306, popped on a new strap and she is good to go
That's looks fantastic, especially the dial, it looks as though it's domed.
Here's my Kinetic Tuna on a 24mm Borealis rubber strap:
I'm loving the strap, it's soft & supple and feels better on the wrist that the Seiko silicone jobbie, I just wish it was 20-30mm longer (I'm on the 5th hole from the end) but I guess it won't be as easy to snag on stuff being shorter. I really want to buy another for my Darth Scallop but Borealis don't do black hardware. :(
I'm still not sure if this watch should live on stainless bracelets though, it's a chunky, weighty watch that I think needs a chunky, weighty strap to really shine.
If you look at my (crappy) photo and squint enough, I mean really squint, it almost looks like an SBBN031 on an Isofrane.
New arrival today and its everything I hoped it would be...
Nice catch - I had my eye on that in the SC

Does anyone know how the titanium Grand Seikos stand up to daily wear? They look fantastic new, but given how much softer than steel titanium typically is I'd be interested to hear or see what they look like after a few years wear.
I wear my snowflake fairly regularly but I changed the strap because the bracelet started getting swirls on it

I have half a dozen of mechanical Seiko ladies' watches but it is the smallest and the only hand-winding that its dial measures 14.5mm x 15mm
Finally got my hands on a yellowfin baby tuna for a good price.
Have to say I’m very impressed with it.
