    New Seikos!

Went down to my local Jura Watches store today to pick one up... but I had to take both... wife's going to kill me!

Please tell me how they are - I particularly fancy the Sea Turtle.

Was going to start a thread about these new Seikos after receiving an email from Jura this morning.

The Turtle is £470 and the Samurai is £399

The Seiko Turtle comes with an extra grey rubber strap and both models are limited to 2018 pieces - they're actually numbered unlike the previous models!

Very, very nice! I flipped my last (pepsi) Samurai but that one has got me well and truly hooked!

Just have to point out that while the writer in the Monochrome article is clearly wetting himself in excitement over "the first European exclusive limited editions" I have to point out the 2017 IAAF chronograph, limited to 750 pieces and marketed UK only as far as I'm aware. We're on our way out, but I'm sure we're still Europe...

Difficult to say as I love them both. However, if I had to choose it would be the Turtle!

They were at their Head Office, I called them to buy and then picked them up.

Should be in their Derbyshire stores which is local to their Head Office which is in Ashbourne!

Give them a call, they post straight away.

Just put them in my basket online...then taken them out....then put them back in!

I’m passing the Ashbourne on Sunday, so I think I’ll pop in and see them in the flesh then.

Sorry Taz I wasn't calling you out for the link, it's a fantastic article. The author has it wrong though presuming that these are the first Euro exclusive Seiko models.

Is that why you appear to be hiding in the basement?! :)

I’m very tempted by the Samurai, and it’s doing the okey cokey in the basket as well.

    Exactly!

Both are nice and I'm seriously tempted by the Samurai.

If the Sammy had the plain dial like the Turtle it would be perfect...just not sure about the "Clou de Paris" / waffle effect on the dial, it would have been better to use a different dial effect such as they did on the PADI / Blue Lagoon Samurai's, otherwise it's just a different, but nice, colour scheme to the regular black & blue Samurai's - a shame, but still hovering over the buy button!

Wow! the Turtle is very Zimbe-looking. Perhaps even nicer than the Zimbe :)
I'm passing through Derbyshire over the weekend ... I might pop in and have a shufty.
May I ask, does the watch come with a special box?
If so, (forgive me if i sound rude but ...) any chance of a photo ;) Just nice to know "what you get for yer money".
Thanks for heads-up, and the side-by-side photo.

    [QUOTE=LAC13;4922500]Turtle:

    A *huge* thank you :)))

I was worried that it might come in the rather dull generic Seiko box (as shown on the Jura website). The grey strap looks gooooood!
Oh man! I'm gonna be so skint! (I don't have a basement ... so, looks like it's the leaky shed for me!)

Chop Chop lads - these will sell out in a flash and then be £800+ in 6 months due to Asian/US collector demand

Yes, but they won’t be in stock for that much longer I’d imagine. There are four turtles now on eBay selling for around £700 each! Some flippers are obviously making a good living out of this at the moment 🙄

Have any sold at that price though?

I’m tempted, but think I’m going to resist.

I do love Seiko's though, and the turtle in particular.

None yet. But if the sell out quickly then someone’s going to make money out of them.

Hmm, i too just pulled the trigger. As per mine earlier message, I've now had to move to the shed ... with its leaky roof (and it's raining!) ... but, hey! Life-in-the-shed WITH the Dawn Grey has got to be better than a warm, central-heated, dry house, right????

    Just a wee heads-up:
it's the first time I've bought from Jura, and fortunately there was a discount code (INTRO10), which got me 10% off ... but the code only worked if I spent over £500. So, i just threw something else in the basket, and got 10% off both. Now feeling warmly satisfied ;))

Just ordered the turtle, really like the look of it. Code SEIKO6 gives 6% off, saving around £25.

Samurai looks fantastic in the pictures, I have a blue lagoon version and I bought my oldest son the black edition for his 18th in the summer.

I think the grey looks on point, I am going to try and check out the grey dawn samurai in a bit as I think I know where one is.

As Einstein once said, 'Only two things are infinite, the number of Omega limited editions, and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former'
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
